and you're busy trying to make sense out of a situation they honestly didn't care enough to make sense of. They got a relatively high reward (big reaction) for a low risk. Braun won't be hurt by this and they won't lose any viewers. They'll just gain a few headlines and trend on twitter.

Maybe this one thing doesn't do it but I'd also argue that it's another step in the watering down of Braun. He clearly likes to have fun now. The exact opposite of what got him over in the first place. They've officially delved into "paint-by-numbers face" with him.

As a one-off it's fine. If they do it over and over, then yes, it'll hurt him. Knowing them, they'll do it over and over. But on its own, it worked.

They already started with him being "silly" weeks ago when he did the parody of Elias. Last week he dressed up like a nerd and called himself "Brain Strowman". "Braun just loves to have fun" is definitely already going.
