Stupid thing to say, but that's taken way out of context. He said that they are both derogatory -- a stupid technicality to draw, and the wrong emphasis to place, but white guys say that dumb shit all the time. Men say that sort of shit about women all the time. Not to excuse it, but it's pretty clear the point he was trying to make was that the term was intended to be offensive, and wasn't drawing direct correlations between the suffering of oppressed people and wrestling fans. It's murky because he really can't speak to the power of the word and he's using it to try and frame the disdain associated with the term "mark."

Silly and frivolous, arguably too irreverntly articulated to explain such a loaded point, and there were about a million better ways to say things, but you can gather he thinks that using either word is bad. Not that they are as bad.
