Outside of Bayley, Revival arguably had the worst fall of grace since leaving NXT. They went from being a team people legit considered as one of the best in the world and a dream feud of them vs Young Bucks to now a team of nothing on RAW.

The bad timing of injuries hurt a lot but can legit pinpoint their downfall as potential big stars to when Dawson uttered the forbidden "W" word in a promo.

I think you're overemphasizing the "wrestler" promo thing. They were obviously already being positioned to eat the old guy finishers on Raw25 and hadn't done shit before then.

They came in hot and got a huge win over New Day in their debut, then got injured, and never got another shot. I don't think the main roster has enough emphasis on tag wrestling for them to really shine, either. They really need multi-segment matches for their shtick, and there's basically none of those any more.

If they'd gotten over to SD in the shake-up, there might have been a chance but not for a long while with the Bludgeon Brothers as champs.

Of course but always found it funny Dawson uttered the word and then the team went back to being nothing afterwards.

WWE didn't even bother to do or build anything meaningful from the promo.

I don't know what killed Bailey as for the Revival after their bounce with DIY I was like they're going to be huge when they get to the main roster wrong wrong wrong

I still think Ascension was worse. They went from being the be-all, end-all tag team in NXT to squashing a few jobbers, then just getting squashed by anyone with a name including a host of inactive "legend" teams to the point where they were just killed dead. They were the proto-AOP or Bludgeon Bros, and they got turned into a joke in short order like most other call ups.
