Similar to Disturbed, Raw was on Sky and I didn't have Sky as a kid as we couldn't afford it but that didn't stop me watching Raw, as my uncle would record it and then I would watch the tape during the weekend as it was shown on Friday nights over here.
Nitro was also shown on Friday nights and it would go on after Catroon Network changed to TNT at 9pm and there were a lot of times where I would be watching Cartoon Network and then it would go off at 9pm and change to TNT and Nitro would start and I would just change the channel during the intro.
I was just a massive WWF Fanboy as a kid.
I didn't like anything WCW because it was "the competition" and if I'm honest, I always felt as a kid that WCW had a bit of a "cheap feel" to everything compared to the WWF.
My only exposure to WCW was from my brother's friend at the time who was a big WCW fan but would occasionally watch WWF but WCW was his thing, so when we were at his house we would play WCW games and WCW would be on the TV sometimes too but I never really paid attention to it.
There was also a kid in my class at school who was like me but with WCW. We would often argue at which was better between WWF and WCW and I remember one time our argument was about who was better, Steve Austin or Goldberg and after he gave his reasons why Goldberg was better, he began acting like Goldberg and walked over to the school gates, began shaking them and snarling and punching himself in the head like Goldberg.
As a kid, that really didn't convince me to watch WCW or Goldberg. It just made me and the other WWF kids feel a bit awkward.
Now anyway, as an adult, I kinda regret not watching WCW when I was a kid as I noticed a good few years ago that it had some good matches and talent. Hell, if I had watched WCW as a kid, I could have became a Chris Jericho fan sooner.
