WWE giving a statement like that about his pending release does cast some doubt about it being real but either way, they've bungled him the most out of the Shield guys.

When the group first formed, the popular opinion around the net was Dean would find instant success because he was the complete package of the trio, then Roman because he had the look Vince wanted, and then Rollins much later in a Jeff Hardy-like path. Instead WWE went backwards which ended up hurting Ambrose the most.
