Maybe Dunn or someone else thinks the random sound will distract people enough from the fact they still struggle to do the smoke effect correctly for his entrance.

This makes a lot of sense. It has always amazed me how I NEVER saw the obvious backboard lifting him during NXT shows but I've seen it every single time since he debuted on RAW. I don't understand how it's so hard for them

NXT waits an extra minute for the smoke to fill the stage and likely a better placement of where the smoke tub is.

Best part is WWE only has one of those lift machines so NXT had to improvise with a new entrance and created one that's even cooler looking. Makes it seem like he's popping out from the underworld because of the way smoke pours out of the hole he walks out from.
