Considering MitB is still a month away, there is no reason at all to rush through a #1 Contender's tournament for the Universal belt.

Yes there is they need all the time they can get because you know otherwise they're going to wait till just the week before the pay-per-view to start booking all the matches

On the flip side, having too much time available also means a lot more opportunities for Vince to constantly change plans.
