Yeah, but he was tearing through the roster anyway. I’d say destroying Hogan and actually winning the championship did more to make him than technically winning a tournament they scrapped right after.

I consider Brock one of the more successful King of the Rings, but it’s not like the tournament itself helped him.

Gable vs Corbin was great but at WWE reviving King of the Ring just for Corbin to win it.

Probably the best series of matches Corbin has had on the main roster but still hilarious that was the end result WWE wanted.
