I’ve got a wrestling conspiracy theory:

Vince is getting back at people he doesn’t like that work for him. He’s learnt he can’t punish people overtly, so he makes it look like they’re getting a push first. If he gets caught, there are scapegoats.

Kevin Owens: Make him look like Steve Austin for a few weeks, even get him to do the Stunner to draw the comparison. Then make him look like a passive geek that a tired Shane can whip. That will teach you to not go to Saudi Arabia. Blame Bischoff.

Kofi Kingston: We’ll give you the WWE Title, but we’ll structure the matches to make you look like a bitch when you’re fighting for your family so the crowd will lose all interest in you. That will teach you to make statements about Hogan. Blame the agent.

The Kanellis angle: That will teach you to get over on your own and bang Lana, fleece us out of $500,000 contracts and finger your butthole. Blame Heyman.
