I agree with the sentiment of the question but you could expand it across virtually everything WWE does at least in recent times. When was the Rumble winner legit better off post win? Sole survivor in a Survivor Series Elimination Match? They piss it away within 3 months. Look at how they treated both sets of newly crowned Tag Champs on this show.
