Especially given their numerous years of opportunities, and repetitive, recent and similar histories. The fact is until Vince and anyone who has any remote autority to share or continue his vision is in control overall and/or of WWE'S creative plans, nothing that happens on Raw, SD, and especially NXT, will matter long term. As a result, it can't be entertaining unless you're as big or even bigger idiot than a senile and/or idiotic 74+ year-old multi-millionaire. If you think or believe otherwise, you're even worse off than I thought. |

If anything, their genius plan to regain that edge or "best alternative" status since then has been the creeping in of more main roster booking mentality for NXT shows. That used to be an issue every so often during the Network era but was easier to mask it with a hour long show and talent usually not staying around long enough to hog or become stale in the big spotlight. |

NXT had their best advantage post Survivor Series and did squat to capitalize on it.
NXT was doing great with Ryan Ward overseeing lots of creative until he left around 2016 and Road Dogg appeared. This is also the time NXT began shifting to the era of PWG endless kickouts. 2016 is also around the time Ryan Ward took over creative on SD and the era of Talking Smack in which SD was beloved and the best wrestling show on TV. Again, when Ryan Ward stepped away and Road Dogg took on SD, the dive began. |

I enjoyed some moments during this episode but I think it's easy for me to say this was the worst epsiode of Dynamite yet.

This was a middle of the road ep to me but I have no regrets about watching as there's plenty enough I like sprinkled throughout.

I'm not going to slay AEW over booking Mr. Brodie Lee in a PPV main event this soon because I know there is a chance the match could be so good I won't ever think about that again. But, I am not pumped for the match beyond my curiosity. I really think AEW should have booked MJF to face Moxely and get served and dropped like a ton of bricks. With his first big loss he would have to regroup and lick his wounds and reaccess. He certainly doesn't need to have the honor of "getting the title on his first chance". That's a babface deal. He would have sold this PPV 10x better than Mr. Brodie Lee I think.
I will buy the show, but this is the first PPV AEW has done where a part of me is kinda pissed about it. |

Brody Lee and "10" taking on SCU in a 2 on 3 match that they win would've been the best and most sensible direction. Maybe Lee moves on to Moxley after. |

I feel like MJF was maybe the original opponent for Moxley at Double or Nothing but he had to miss several weeks of shows because of the virus, so they didn't want to rush it... I think that feud should actually get a much longer and better build

Ideally, they'd just scrap Double or Nothing and have a big tv special instead but apparently their PPV deal doesn't allow them to skip events nor charge less for major shows. They probably could have just tact on an extra event later in the year to make up for it but they didn't want to mess up their schedule nor run into similar rushed booking issues down the line for it. |

This is fair. And it's not like there's much else for Moxely to do. You're not gonna feed Archer to him just yet. Jericho moved on. Who else is left? Unfortunately for Brody, he's the only "top" heel at this point that nobody cares about sacrificing.

I'm surprised they didn't just put him in the casino royale ladder match. That makes more sense than a random, heatless match with Jungle Boy. |

If Florida's governor had been dumber (or bribed) a lot sooner, AEW probably would have had more than enough weeks to properly build for Double or Nothing and not have to rush things because of circumstances. Then again if the country as a whole had handled this pandemic a lot better, probably would have been in the re-opening stages a lot sooner and more prepared against relapse outbreaks.
Even with the Florida governor pulling a Florida Man moment, still would have been a tough sell at $50 due to not having a real and robust crowd around to liven things up and people's financial situations during these rough times. |

My buddy said he'll prob order it, you which I said I'd split it with him if he did. But I'm not gonna pay $50. Fuck that.

I guess they don’t put Moxley/Lee on last tbf. Apparently they want the TNT Championship to be seen on the “same level” as the AEW Championship. With it being the inaugural crowning of the champion and a personal issue I can see Cody/Archer going on last, and Mox/Lee ending inconclusively.

If the world title is being defended, it should go on last. Also, seeing as Moxley and Archer are likely to both win, I can see them ending the ppv on a positive note with the top babyface closing the show. |

Did they really have Matt Hardy get upset because Jericho broke his toy?

I wasn’t so bothered about Hardy’s reaction; or Jericho’s but I wanted the rest of the Inner Circle to be giving Jericho a bit of side eye, like “why is he talking to this drone and getting so worked up!?”

That would be better, but it's just so fucking silly. Jericho thinks he is bulletproof, and yes, he has a lot of good will, but this is not any better or more poignant or useful than the List of Jericho stuff.
If we want to talk about side eyes, something that gets one from me is how people act like AEW is so much different from WWE. You can't imagine Matt Hardy returning to the WWE and bothering Chris Jericho with a drone and Jericho smashing it with a baseball bat and Matt Hardy crying? BigCrippyZ would be all over it calling it "stupid" and how Vince needs to get an infection on their dick so anyone sucking it dies too. |
