Yeah, it is tarring a lot of you with the same brush. Boo-hoo? What's wrong with something not being constructive? Why the fuck do I need to treat a multi-million dollar operation with kiddie gloves? If you want to do that, that's on you, but I won't throat clear pleasantries for the sake of it every single time. I purposely go blunt too, because it's entertaining to me. These boards are 80% people giving other people shit. I will give people who like AEW shit, especially if they are going to respond with inane slurs like BCZ and passive aggressiveness like Smeat. They can take it as seriously as they want. Quote:

I was optimistic at the start, but they burnt that pretty quickly. Now I am apathetic towards their existence. They're not a true alternative, nor they are they going to do anything but strengthen Vince McMahon's stranglehold on wrestling. So enjoy it all you want, but I will accuse you of bad taste and AEW of making wrestling even worse. |

I think you’d be better off in the YouTube comments; That’s where you’ll find the actual toxic AEW marks you speak of.
You were the most optimistic person on these boards pre-launch. Maybe that’s why you are so critical now; it‘a shit when you put stock in something that turns out to be shit. (Also, I meant to ask you; Top 3 Jacob Fatu matches I need to watch?) |

I was one of the more optimistic (maybe most, as you said). I do absolutely feel frustrated by them not living up to what I hoped, but I am honestly more bummed because I think it is actually going to leave things worse. And this is the sort of thing that Bryan Alvarez threatens to block people about. But Vince McMahon has less to fear than ever before, because not only is he far and away the most effective provider of "sports entertainment," but other billionaires are going to see Shad Khan's small returns and think "why bother?" No one is really going to comb through and realize that AEW niches itself by having an underdeveloped person floss and main eventers that teleport. I'll be honest -- I haven't watched much MLW lately. I feel like I should to shed some light, because I am high on Jacob Fatu. But I've got this thing with products that I could potentially get more hooked on, because I'm worried they'll sour me and I'll have nothing left, haha. Lately I've been watching some Contra Unit promos though. They're pretty good. Simon Gotch is a good talker, and Jacob Fatu is actually a pretty good promo. I really like the whole vibe he puts out. I was trying to find out how old he was the other day. He's got 6 kids and made his debut in 2012. I can't imagine he's much older than 30, max, but I'm not sure if that information is out there. |

Got around to watching this today. I'm glad that Lashley didn't make the Hulu cut. Not a fan at all.
Loved Asuka's reaction, cool to learn it was legit. I'm behind on NXT/205. But I'm guessing Tozawa is not jobbing on there like he is here? It seems like there's a bit of...friction in Zelina's group. I'm not sure if they're going for a split, but I don't know if that helps any of them right now. Basketball game was kinda dumb, but it made me laugh. Rey/Seth should be fun when it happens. Seth's new theme has real Golden Sun vibes. I dig it. Edge/Orton in an actual match should be good, but it was a really weird segment (though Orton's promo was good). A messy episode, but the IIconics are back on my screen so that's solid. |

Lashley has a tremendous look, but he’s never put it all together. MVP covers up a lack of personality, but it doesn’t really add charisma or really great ring work.

I think that is about the most we can expect from Guru Dave's conscience.

Interesting re: Theory. I guess it'd be "you're not good enough to be here" and Garza will beat him in a Loser Leaves RAW match or something like that.
I don't get why WWE sometimes will treat NXT/205 stuff like it matters, but more often they won't. I get that not everyone watches everything, but wouldn't it help the product overall to have some continuity? That's a bummer that Rey is possibly done, though not a bad way to write him off I suppose. |

They had their first NXT buildup for a match that happened on 205 live in.... Like 3 or 4 months just this week.
