If it's as endemic as we all have heard then surely a better use of time would be for the accusers to make their individual complaints known to the law in a concerted effort to build a sound case.
Just making the accusation public one day is highly dubious, legally questionable and immensely prejudicial. I'd imagine cases can be won and lost on that sort of outburst.
I'm not too sure how the statute of limitations work in cases like these
