I mean there’s something to be said for white knighting in this circumstance. But there are extenuating factors in that maybe it’s in the best interest of both the victims and their supporters to keep quiet on a public platform for the sake of privacy and getting everything dealt with. I guess what I was trying to say was that seeing Ryan respond with such a contrived defence of himself might have been the trigger that set the likes of Janela off, especially since they’d been friends. At the end of the day, as far as we know, Janela ain’t that kind of dude. Hard to put the responsibility for Ryan’s alleged actions on Janela just because certain things came to light and it made him feel compelled to speak now. That’s a pretty lofty expectation you’re placing on the guy.
