Maybe they legit "fine" him if they have to but I really hope they don't actually fire him... incredibly bad precedent to set... And punishment is way too severe for the "crime"... People who want to ruin people's lives for a joke from years ago are psycho imo... I'm sure he's "learned his lesson"... Some people are just out for blood though...

Mm... I like Jim and he's innocent until proven guilty. But I listened to a bit of him on the matter, and he immediately relied on discrediting the people and just really petty things to prove he didn't do any coercing.

I hope he's proven innocent in all this shit, but his side of the story isn't all that exonerating in nature.

I respect your opinion. I see both sides to the coin. If he’s truly remosreful, then show it.

But Khan has to do something. Firing might be harsh. Just do what WWE did with the forgotten sons and their push (a different topic) but send him down the ladder a little bit and have him work his way back up.

It would be one thing if Sammy made a threat or was insinuating violence in some way. He was clearly joking. It wasn't a particularly tasteful joke but it was obvious to anybody watching that he clearly was not serious.

"Being okay" with it and understanding it are two different things. I don't think Sammy Guevara deserves to be fired for some moronic shit he said when he was 22. And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he's a relatively upstanding young man.

But I understand why his firing might happen. I'm not big on cancel culture, but surely Sammy is responsible for his own actions.

I dont even understand it. I understand that companies need to keep a certain image but I will never understand validating complete fucking losers that comb the internet for controversy. It doesn't help anybody. Like if a current scandal arises surrounding an employee, they have to address it. This idea though that if someone writes something on a blog/social media post years ago that doesn't gel with current society, that the person needs to be hunted down and purged, that's some dystopian science fiction bizarre world shit. Like, how can anybody be alright living in a world like that? It's an impossible standard to live up to and it just creates a scenario where anybody can be taken down at any time. It's creepy.

It is wrong to a degree, but it's collateral damage over other, bigger issues.

Also, I've said some questionable shit in my days. And I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure even at my dumbest, that I didn't go on a public forum and start making rape jokes. I mean Jesus christ that's dumb.

If you cancel everyone for everything no one gets to change or grow. Twitter, in particular, does not separate when it comes to people saying offensive/dumb things and committing horrible things, like assault/abuse. Cancel culture wants them all gone.
