Will Impact be in business this time next year?
I just don't see it. I don't wish any company to go out of business but I don't see how this can last much longer.
This latest, umpteenth attempt at reviving a perpetually near-dead company isn't going to work. They didn't do anything tonight to get new viewers. There was all the hype of a big debut and it was Rich Swann and Eric Young!? They needed someone at Moxley level, Jericho level to be taken seriously. Anthem can't go on losing $$$ forever. |

Who is available that's even at that level that would both want to go there and they can afford? Theystruck gold with Kurt Angle and to a lesser extent Christian. But those guys aren't out there anymore.

Rey is without a contract. Get him to show up and throw his eyeball in a trash can.

Yeah man I have no doubt in my mind that Impact will be around in a year. It's come this far. There is no way it's going to end any time soon. It was the top twitter trend for the whole show last night.

We've all said it. Impact is the cockroach of pro wrestling.
Nuclear apocalypse won't kill it off. They'll find a way. |

It was a better ppv than anything AEW has done.
Scott D'Amore and his crew are smart guys. They'll definitely be around. |

I agree. He's really good. I saw him at a Impact taping about a year ago

If the wrestling industry was an airplane, then Impact would be its black box.
Considering all the countless times before where they should have collapsed, nothing is going to kill them off besides the universe ending and I'd still put money down on Impact somehow managing to survive in the end. |

Interesting thoughts on Edwards, Slik. I think his tights are horrible, and yes he has gotten thick in an odd way but... he can really go. He does have some good credentials and I wouldn't have such a low opinion of him as you. I've seen him live a few times and he's good. His look needs to change though. Probably should be wearing a singlet and try to come off like a suplex guy. (especially since they dropped Elgin)

A singlet (and a cape on his way to the ring) would go a long way with me, tbh

Ok, I DO like how the roster isn't the size of China...if I decide to start watching this will make it easier for me to 'jump in' as opposed to A E Dub or WWE and their rosters of like 348 people

I think because they bought a whole network specifically to air Impact on, Impact will last longer than it probably should since that has been their problem (having a TV deal). I'm still pissed Anthem or whoever it is that bought AXS didn't see the big picture in trying to cultivate more wrestling programs on AXS outside of NJPW (which ibget doesn't need AXS) They should have kept WOW and tried to give a deal to some other indie promotions. You still own the network, so even if the people tune in for the other promotions instead of impact, you're making money and fostering the wrestling business on a national level, which can only be good long term for wrestling, impact and your network. |

Had they not gut AXS' MMA and wrestling divisions due to money reasons, NJPW and WOW probably would have stayed. Maybe less so with NJPW considering the lingering bad blood between them and Impact and Anthem also having one of Impact's head running AXS now. WOW would have been a great pipeline of women talent for Impact had they managed to form a partnership. |

Individual Ratings aren't available for IMPACT but AXS averages around 66,000 for primetime so it's probably somewhere in that range, for anyone curious

It's really not a bad show. They work with what they have. Pretty good women's division

A lof of the women did seem a little hefty, compared to the level of athleticism I have grown accustomed to from years of WWE.
Do you think they need to hire a nutritionist and coach to help shape them up a bit? |

Ace Austin is 5’8”, 190 LBs
Fairly shocked Gertner‘s down with the idea of putting a title on him and not calling him a vanilla midget lol |

I've seen him multiple times live and he's nothing special. I don't get it. I guess he's "good looking" I think that's the reason anyone gave him a shot. Not a fan of his real personality or character on TV.
