Good point. It was more likely a little thing Tony Khan did to take the child's mind off of all the horrible stuff going on in his life. Kind of like a "Your Dad is gonna get better, don't worry. How about this, you get to be a Pro Wrestler tonight! Here's you a contract to sign so you can wrestle like your Daddy!" More of a Make a Wish thing than anything else.
Nothing malicious or even ridiculous. It was likely folks thinking the Make a Wish contract meant as a way to take his mind off his sick Dad was an actual, legally binding one.
