You like wrestling. You watch wrestling. You most likely have hard opinions on wrestling. I know I do.
Watch a match and give us your rating on it. It can be an old match, a new match, a match you’re watching live. It doesn’t matter. Sound off in the replies. Help a new fan discover a forgotten classic. Help a mark avoid a land mine shithole match. Let’s go. |

Rewatch of Bret vs Austin from Wrestlemania 13. 100%
This match is perfect. The match is perfectly violent and technical. The crowd is hot. The commentary is great. Also an underrated part of the match is that Ken Shamrock is probably the best guest referee of all time. He plays the role perfectly. |

Hangman Page vs Lance Archer - Texas Death Match
Shit got real wild in this one but honestly I didn't care at first. It wasn't til they got bleeding that I got into it. Once the blood was flowing I was hooked. Then we got some insane bumps like when Archer chokeslamed Hangman off the apron onto the side of the steel steps. It was a bump that seemed super unsafe, like bad for pro wrestling because someone might get impaled. We've seen some injuries like that in AEW, with Cash, Fenix, Matt Hardy and Archer himself. Eventually the top rope was removed to deny Hangman his finish which was cool... Lambert and Jake were involved and the blood just kept on flowing. It finished with a really crafty spot where Hangman used the referee as a springboard to do a version of his finish the flipping lariat, but this one sent them both crashing through the tables. Hangman was the first to make it to his feet, barely before the 10 count. Winning in dramatic fashion, only to have to face off with another contender Adam Cole. I give the match 3 3/4 Meltzer stars. The tag match with FTR vs Punk and Moxley was my first contender for MOTY however. I loved everything about it and it made me really happy to be watching pro wrestling when it was happening. I felt like when I was 10 watching HBK team with Austin against the Road Warriors on Raw or something. Just a great big time dream tag match. I really want more tags like that in AEW with these dream partners. |

I saw some iceskating, they do some pretty sweet spin jumps, so I laid on my side so it looked like the jump spins were flips. 8.46 Meltzer Stars BAAAAAABY!

The last match I watched was Bull Buchanan vs. Mike Awesome from Velocity in 2002. It just randomly popped up. I quite like Bull. He’s a guilty pleasure. Nothing wrong with it. Tazz is bored and shitting on the match. Crowd doesn’t care much. Bull tries to wake them up with his leaping clothesline from the top. Bull wins the match with a flying leg drop.
I’ll give it **. It was nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. High spots where they should count. It was fine. |

HHH vs. Roman Reigns (WrestleMania 32)
The cherry on the diarrhea shake, this was Vince's attempt at causing the biggest mass suicide since Jonestown. Everything about this had bad idea written all over it, from the fans not buying Reigns to HHH being the world champion in GOD DAMN TWENTY FUCKING SIXTEEN. Honestly, this whole show was a trainwreck but this put the final nail in my brain. I stopped watching wrestling after this and never looked back. This can take my NO STARS, BIYATCH rating up its ass and like it as I make my slow and steady progress to my grave with the knowledge that this is the last match I'll have ever watched. |

In honor of Stone Cold's posdible return, I watched his last match. Wrestlemania 19 vs The Rock.
Considering what all came out after the fact, Austin being in the hospital the night before, that it was going to close the show before that happened, and the way it incorporated their previous bouts, even though Austin lost, this is probably my 2nd favorite match of his (1st being the 13 match Supreme brought up, which funny enough Austin also lost). If the Bret match was a 10/10, I think it is fair to rate his Mania 19 match as a 9.75/10. |

Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis vs Private Terry Daniels and Sgt Slaughter. July.23 1984 at MSG for the Tag belts.
Murdoch and Adonis are my favourite WWF team of the 80s. I've watched this match a couple times. Slaughter is so over here. Adonis and Murdoch retain in a fun match.I wish people saw more of this team. They were sooooo good. They left right before Wrestlemania 1 which is the starting point for people who watched the company in the 80s so they tend to be forgotten. Two and a half out of five. |

Bret Hart versus Mr. Perfect from King of the Ring 1993
This one is a knockdown drag-out war. Hard-hitting, gritty, and intense. These two had tons of matches on House Shows in the late 80s, but this one breaks the formula a bit because they're both faces here. Typically--including in their Summerslam match--the heel-face-divide is far more evident because Hennig does the chickenshit stuff. At KOTR 93, though, Hennig is the more heelish face in the match (but only because it's so hotly contested), yet he doesn't do the usual coward stuff. He's just aggressive, mean, and nasty. His chops are absolutely brutal. He does a sort of awkward missile dropkick at one point, but it ends up looking really good because he smashes Bret, who takes a great bump off of it. There's so much good stuff in this match. They legitimately WORK holds. They don't do rest holds. A headlock is used to build tension, and they never stop moving when something is sinched in. They're both selling from their earlier matches. Bret's got his fingers taped up, which is such a good visual. There is nothing more babyface than going to battle when held together by tape and bandages. Speaking of which, a nice spot is when Hennig yanks on Hart's injured fingers during a Sharpshooter attempt. This match isn't pretty by any means. The guys are snug, rough and tumble, and it comes across as a fight. Things get messy as a result despite a standard of crispness throughout. At one point, Bret gets hurtled off the apron, and they misjudge the distance to the rail, so he smashes into a cooler. One of those happy accidents because it plays into the stakes of the match. Besides that nasty bump, some of the bigger spots include a nice super plex by Bret. And right near the end of the match, they also do a suplex off the apron to the floor that's safe but adds to the chaos. Hennig also gets a lot out of a sleeper hold that he applies with ferocity, maximizing a very simple move, a theme in this match and many other Bret Hart matches. A good figure-four spot too with Bret in control that has Hennig selling his knee for the remainder of the match. Really, I can go on all day about this one. These two manage to build tension and draw the viewer in without doing a single near fall until Bret reverses Hennig's small package at the end for the win. It reminds me of a hotly contested playoff game in any sport, where both teams are at the top of their game, and it turns into an absolute dog fight. Rating: A+++++++++, one of my all-time favourites. They earn the crowd's attention too. The Nutter Center faithful were a little aimless, to begin with, but the action in the ring wouldn't allow for silence. And lastly, a shoutout to the commentary team of Heenan, JR, and Macho Man (who was actually good in this match for once). You could tell they loved watching this, and Heenan getting nostalgic about managing Perfect when he was heeling out was hilarious and added to an already awesome encounter. Blake Davenport (Bea Preistly) vs Meiko Satomura NXT UK womens title- 3 1/2 stars
Verrrrry tempted to give this 4 stars. I wanted to see if Meiko could carry Bea Preistly to a good match. I'll eat crow on that one because even though Meiko does carry the first half of the match, once Bea takes over she holds her own and even has a couple nice, clever counters. She's definitely improved quite a bit. Meiko at 42 years old, is still my vote for best in ring female wrestler in the world. Lays her shit in, snd everything she does looks real while still being safe. She's like if Rhonda Rousey had 25 years of experience. |

Slik posted a Twitter clip so I went back and watched it again. Eddie Gilbert vs Tiger Mask Nov 1982 at the Spectrum.
Eddie is still pretty young and green but really stepped his game up. Tiger Mask is so fucking fast. Makes it look effortless. 3 out of 5. Solid match. |

I last watched Jay White vs Trent on Rampage. I was really happy with the match I'd give it 3 stars which I'd label as "good". I enjoyed how Jay White felt comfortable and relaxed to go at his typical slower pace and Trent also came off really good with some great spots and usual good selling.

Trying to finish all the 97 ECW Hardcore TV's. Finally made it to December. This second half has been a struggle. ECW gets bad fast.
Anyways, last match I watched was Al Snow vs RVD at the Elks Lodge. Pretty good match with the usual Sabu interference. RVD wins with the Van Daminator. This was the start of Al Snow "hearing voices". 2.5 out of 5 |

Justin Credible vs Mikey Whipwreck. Dec. 10 Hardcore TV
Whipwreck ended Justin's undefeated streak at 97 November 2 Remember. This is the rematch. I'm surprised Whipwreck won at the PPV. They really seemed to be building Justin. Anyways, the match is one of the better TV matches of the year. Jason briefly interfered which backfired and gave Whipwreck another win over Credible. 3.5/5 |

Been watching some 1995 WWF Challenge shows
Duke "The Dumpster" Droese vs Mike Bell OK, so I've maintained over the years that Duke the Dumpster Droese with a better gimmick could have been something. He's got some cool moves and has some charisma. Pulled off a sweet looking powerslam and his tilt-a-wirl slam finisher looks so good. Rating: I don't rate squashes but it was a good one. |

Have a desire to watch some WCW tonight. Don’t know what I’m going to go for. Lately I’ve been going on very weird and specific wrestler kicks. Maybe it will be Perry Saturn or something?
I haven’t actually watched that much Lance Storm from WCW. Maybe I should check out his stuff? |

Hogan & Bret Hart vs Piper and Savage is the main draw, nothing special but really a fun show IMO. For Lance Storm, I loved him in WCW. I think his best work would probably be on Nitro's where he got a lot of promo time and did a lot of fun angles when he was a triple champion. I think he was always solid in the matches there but I don't remember any being special. |

Just looking through Lance Storms Meltzer match ratings on IWDB which has all his ratings logged from The Observer reviews. His highest match rating is 3 3/4 for a tag match at Heat Wave 99. As a singles it doesn't look like he ever scored above a 3 1/4th rating from Meltzer. Kinda funny because in his day we internet fans generally heralded him as "one of the best" but he never really had a "banger" anywhere, an especially not in a singles match.

Storm was always technically smooth, but I don't recall a single match that was truly great. Good mechanic, but never did anything all that special 3 3/4 stars sounds about right.
