Yeah I wish he'd focus more on the territories and wrestling history. But his fans just love the "old man yells at cloud" routine and I assume it's making him a ton of money.

Ok, I've heard the "old man yells at cloud" comparison numerous times, and its a bad take.

The old man is yelling at the cloud for no apparent reason. That's the joke. Whenever Cornette takes umbrage with anything, he explains in great detail why it's bad, and how it could be done better. And all of his critiques are based on one simple, fundamental principle of wrestling that is never outdated, or out of style. The principle that wrestling is always at its very best when everything makes sense.

Too much of anything can always get tiresome. And its perfectly fine to say you're not interested in cornette's modern wrestling reveiws. A little of cornette's personality goes a long way, and even as a fan of his show, I dont listen to every episode. But this narrative that he's a rambling old man who's ranting for the sake of ranting needs to stop, because thats not whats happening.
