Ah, he would be a good shout. Brian Last has started up something too. They’re probably going to get something closer to the CM Punk side of the story. The issues between Punk and Omega/The Bucks seems to be that they manipulate the sheets into saying what they want. At this point I'd take the Bucks/Kenny over Punk 999 times out of 1000. I dunno man, it’s not unreasonable to see CM Punk as someone standing up to toxic management. These rumors have circulated The Bucks for the longest time, and it’s a fair criticism of AEW that its EVPs have gotten in the way of AEW’s greater success so that they can have their vanity project. The lockerroom is probably way more split than it is on one side. And did he shoot on them, or did they storm into his lockerroom looking for a fight?


Wait to see how this plays out and what more comes out about the altercation. The first wave is going to be the “Punk is an asshole stories.” The Bucks have their fingers in Dave Meltzer pretty deep.

Omega’s deal was coming up in January. I don’t know if he’s signed a new one or if the injury has put more time onto it, but I was half-way expecting him to leave with the video game being a disaster and him being threatened by Punk coming in.

If you’re Tony Khan and you do take a side, it’ll be interesting to see how that affects viewership and fandom (if at all). Omega and The Bucks are key identity players, regardless of what you think of their talent. They put the “Elite” in the name of the promotion. But now that fans have gotten used to seeing guys like Punk there, losing a name like that can hurt more than you’d think.

Losing Punk would hurt business more than losing Omega and The Bucks. I think MOST people, regardless of personal preference would agree there.

I think punk’s matches have been mostly good when he sticks to basics and didn’t try to do shit he’s not enough for. His match with Kingston last year, this past Sunday with Moxley, the two with mjf have all been good imo

It’s logically a side where all sides have to eat shit a little bit. Ace Steel’s ability to do his job is compromised. He was there as an agent in the good graces of Punk and because they got to steal him from the WWE. Even if he was defending his wife or whatever, it probably isn’t a place he wants to work anymore.

The Bucks and Omega should not be EVPs. There’s nothing to imply they can do the job, and their current track record is horrible. They’re using that weight to walk high and mighty. Can you disrupt the pecking order that much? You work out what happened — which EVP was the major instigator in going to that lockerroom and either threw the first punch or provoked it. They’re not EVP anymore. The other two are going to be placed under review if they don’t want to step down. More of this, that’s taken away from them.

Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler are released. This isn’t a charity case anymore. It’s a business. Adam Page needs to offer a public apology for being such a fucking idiot. Fines are issued and maybe even some suspensions of bonuses.

Punk works with MJF, Omega & The Bucks…who cares?

If Punk is gone, I can see that being his call. You’re left with a bunch of schemers, who aren’t as talented, haven’t done this at as high a level, and don’t exactly command respect. I don’t think that’s going to help the toxicity. I can see more people wanting out now than ever before.
