It was a very lackluster Raw, and certainly had the holes in logic that Vince came to be known for.
Cody got screwed over, cost his dream, and he comes out and says Roman was the better competitor??? He BARELY pushed for a rematch, then was just cool to have a tag match? The only logical reason as to why Brock would turn on Cody is because Vince wanted Brock as a heel. Brock, who got screwed over by Heyman and the Bloodline, would rather randomly beat up a guy he NEVER once interacted with then get revenge on the people that cheated him for a year straight? Also, reports stating that they sent Seth out to the ring, then during the commercial break changed their mind about him saying anything, told him to let the fans sing for a bit, and then leave, because...Vince. He had his son in law go out and say nothing has changed, then proceeded to take over running the show, changing everything. He put on 2 hours and 50 minutes of garbage that he decided on the fly was better than building on all the momentum the company had built in the last 8 months that he was gone. Basically, just Vince being Vince. |
