RATE THE GAME: The Wrap Up, Retrospective, & Final Scores Edition
Well, here we are, folks. We've wrapped up this party and now have to deal with the clean up, such as it is. We compiled quite a collection throughout our journey and this is where we take a look at the final results and reflect on all of it. First things first, we must add last week's Gears of War 2 to the list to make it complete. And with that said, behold the finished product. Here is our glorious leaderboard in all its...uh...glory....




So with that out of the way, what do you think? Any final thoughts and memories and opinions you want to share about a particular game or the list in general? Any game you missed out on that you want to talk about? There are 200 to choose from so let's have one last walk down Memory Lane together.

On top of it all, most importantly, is the gratitude that I want to show you all. This project would be nothing without the feedback from everyone involved, whether you loved a game, dispised a game, were indifferent, or never even played. Your input made Rate the Game what it is and I can thank you enough. This may have been a chore to do on my end, but I always had fun, and I was always eager to hear your thoughts. Give yourselves a hand and take a bow, but more importantly, share some more of your thoughts below. Thanks again for everything and here's to the future.

Out of that Top 10 list, the one that surprises me the most is the original Hitman game.

Game itself was very good but some of the heavy hitters that it surpassed on the list in the end and that very high score is an eye opener.

Especially considering it was PC only. Unlike games like Fallout or Warcraft/Starcraft that made big waves in the PC realm and stayed there for quite a long time, Hitman's direct sequel got console porting. With zero explanation of the tutorial taking place directly after the ending to the first game.

Got around to counting how many games in the list I actually played in some form and ended up with 103 that I know of and another 6-10 that I'm not sure about or don't remember.

This was my reply in the very first Rate the Game, in reference to Silent Hill, which was the game we covered there. I gave it a 3 and praised the movie, but time and perspective has really turned me around. Like, what was I thinking? The first game is absolutely a 4 and both films are some of the biggest piles of fuck ever put on screen.

It was a tough call as to what to exclude. Some of my personal favorites had to miss the cut, too, sadly.
