I agree, the book was very good and it's one of Anne Rice's best novels. I've read Queen of the Dambed book many times but the movie was downright horrible and stupid.

Exactly. It mixed in elements from The Vampire Lestat as well. I was like WTF. This is nothing like either of those books.
