After watching all I could stomach of the...
...Tough Enough crap on UPN(only thing worth watching on that crap channel is Enterprise), it made me realize just how worthless it really is. I mean, yeah, I KNOW how worthless it is. But I never realized just HOW worthless it is. For one thing, the prospect of reality TV taking over even wrestling just...
Let's face it, that's what Tough Enough basically is, a reality show on WWE programming( ). I just hate reality TV, it's so over-dramatic and a bunch of flash in the pan bullshit. Secondly, these guys who want to be wrestlers are a complete joke. I've never been a total fan of the Big Show(or Paul Wight in general, even as the Giant), but he said something that was totally right. What have these guys done to prove they're worth the fucking time the WWE wastes on them? What makes you so special to enter the biggest wrestling promotion in the entire world(you may not like the WWE at the moment, but EVERYONE knows what the WWE is)? Just because you won a contest? As Show said, "Go buy a lottery ticket". Ok, I'm done. ![]() Shameful Cena mark. |

The finalists that are on this Tough Enough are much much better than previous ones, imo. They all are pretty decent. I wouldn't be surprised to see most, if not all, of the finalists signed.

One other thing, what the fuck does making out with Mae Young have to do with being a wreslter? Jesus Christ. I don't care if it's supposed to be about "having fun", it just wastes valuable TV time. Granted, SmackDown wastes enough of it's TV time on it's own, but...come on...

Puder could be pretty good, however if they were to somehow sign Tito Ortiz, with his star power he would surely get over.

Yeah... the whole problems is that they're doing this Diva Search style, and it's kinda stupid, because they're having fans choose the "best wrestler" without actually seeing any of them wrestle.
On the other hand, maybe they'll just hire four of them after the winner is announced and such... I dunno. But yeah, the setup is pretty stupid. And I still think Rodheimer should have made it to the finals. |

Meh, I'm actually enjoying Tough Enough, although there is somethings I found stupid, like the Torrie Wilson Sex Test. But then again, these 'drama' segments draw fans. Not many fans want to watch pure wrestling *cough* ROH *cough*. So I guess these segments are the right thing to do, I mean my little brother enjoys them (9 years old) and partly the reason he watches SmackDown is for Tough Enough. So...I dunno, TE seems OK to me...

Honestly, I think the current TE format is a lot better than having it be it's own show. As for having the fans choose their favorite without seeing them actualy wrestle... remember, again, that WWE is about more than just wrestling, and they're not necessarily choosing the best wrestler, they're choosing the guy they most want to see. I think it's a fair point that Daniel Rodimer got voted out this week not because of any lack of wrestling ability, but because he wasn't likable. For all that's been said (mostly by Tazz) about cockiness being a good thing for a wrestler to have, it's definitely not a good thing to overdo it when you're trying to garner votes from fans. With the new TE style, we get to see a lot more of what the guys will actually be doing: going to the ring and performing.
PS: A million dollars is still way too much, 500,000 would have been more than sufficient. |

You're speaking from the prespective that being fair, and everybody paying their dues is of any interest to the WWE, which it rightfully is not.
They're a publicly traded corporation, with the chief purpose of making money for their board of directors. Whether or not you personally like the segments is not an issue to them, as they have determined that this will boost ratings, increase traffic on their website, and make them more money. And also, a lot of these guys obviously do have a lot of talent, because the WWE signs many of them to developmental contracts after they are cut. They've already signed two guys from this Tough Enough, half or more of the Diva Search girls, and tons of other people who lost from previous Tough Enoughs. Like it or not, these shows definitly are good ways to scope out new talent. |

If they want to be on Tough Enough, great. Do your thing. The winner is only gonna end up being a jobber, at best, in his career.

The Tough Enough segments draw in all those people who find reality TV to be interesting, but I'm just expressing my opinion, and I had to vent that shit, man.

Well it's daft really all you are voting for is who you want to win the money because you can guarantee that half of them are going to end up on WWE progarmming/OVW anyway.

Hey Big Show, what they bring, or are attempting to bring, is ratings. Look into it.

This is the pointless shit that they think'll make them money though, so they'll air it on TV. I personally arn't that interested in Tough Enough, but I'm not going to lie and say it hasn't been the only thing that I've really been following on Smackdown. |
