Because of Nintendo's stance on online gaming. They feel that not everyone has access to broadband or even the internet, so to spend such a large amount of money on something that not everyone has access to is pointless. I can't say I disagree with Nintendo on this one. It makes sense, as not everyone wants to play online.

I agree with Nintendo's stance that if they go online, it's gonna be done right, where you do not have to pay a monthly fee to play.
If you purchase the game, you shouldn't have to pay to play. Especially if you play casually and have other priorities. If I'm not playing the game too often, why should I be paying online fees. |
