Email
I recently changed my email address from storm14_14@hotmail.com to sadiqmotani@hotmail.com . My question is in my storm14_14@hotmail.com there are still emails that are in the inbox for that account, is it possible to transfer/move all the emails from the inbox of the storm14_14@hotmail.com into the inbox of sadiqmotani@hotmail.com ? That is without having to forward each and every message in the inbox of my old acccount to the new account.
Thanks in advance Last edited by sadio8; 04-21-2005 at 03:38 PM. |

Not with the standard hotmail. Used to be able to do this easily in both Yahoo and Hotmail. Then they started trying to make money on email. Now you can if you do their 10 or whatever dollars a year email account. Otherwise you're stuck having to use 3rd party software to do this.
They have something called Getmail, which comes in, grabs your mail and reads it into text form and then forwards it to another account. Or you could set up your accounts in Outlook. Would probably be just as easy to browse both that way. Most of the more recent version are set up to include hotmail setup by default. |

nah man. Shouldn't need to.
Open Outlook Express . . Go to Tools > Accounts. Click the Add > Mail Put in your name, then next, you email address. Then incomming mail server is HTTP. HTTP Service provide is hotmail Fill in your account name and password (that's your email address and email password) Then save your password and FINISH. Should find everything. If not, hit the send Receive button. Then do the same stuff for your second account. |
