I read about this a while back (maybe a year) and forgot about it

Alone in the Dark

Not reviewed at press time. German cult filmmaker Uwe Boll directs this American horror film about a detective investigating a case of the paranormal. The film is based on a video game.

on top of that I heard on Gamer TV that the DOA movie is officially being done. Only one actress has been signed so far and I cant remember her name but she doesn't look like any of the girls from DOA 1 or 2 so shes probably gonna be one of the newer girls.They also confirmed there will be a vollyball scene.
What worries me is that they might go for the whole T&A crap with this movie and it'll look crap with the OTT moves and stuff.I hope its a good movie I loved DOA1 and 2 and I never thought much of DOA3 cos I only played it once and never got the hang of the xbox controller.

Anyone got any info on any videogame related movies?

Apparently, Christian Bale(Batman Begins, bitches!!) is being linked to play Snake in a Metal Gear film.



Another rumor is that Ryuhei Kitamura is slated to direct. He directed the cut-scenes in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

Well after Uwe Boll has destroyed House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark....his next game to movie victim is Hunter: The Reckoning....

Uwe Boll has also picked up Counter-Stike

Bloodrayne (which I read is also done by Uwe Boll...dont know if its true or not) is filming staring that Lokan girl who played the villian in T3 and Michelle Rodriguez I believe...

There was talk about a crazy taxi game a long time ago but since then the game and movie has faded and I think it became that Taxi movie with Latifah and Fallon.

Doom is set to go and has The Rock in it....

Duke Nukem is set to go and is remoured to have The Rock in it....

Silent Hill is in the works...

GTA is a thought at this time....

Halo is a big thought at this time....

MGS as mentioned already is being set up.....

Apparently Microsoft have gotten someone to combine to start writing a script that combines both storyline from Halo 1 and 2. Hopfully it will have a decent ending then.

I honestly can't remember where I found that out, but I definately know that Microsoft want to turn Halo into a movie.

Just a thought here, but if they were to make a Metal Gear movie, do they start with the origional game for story perposes(even though it is unknown to most general fans) or do they just go for the extremly popular Metal Gear Solid?

I heard Splinter Cell is going to be a movie.All they have is a director.Can't remember who it is though.
I think Tom Cruise or Timothy Gibbs would suit Sam Fisher.

As for MGS and Snake, I'm sure someone better can be found.
Wasn't David Hayter,the guy who voiced Snake, actually similiar in appearance to snake?
