Out of the two you "fucked", why the hostility towards Winamp? Admittingly they botched up Winamp 3 and missed out completley on 4 but they seem to ahve it sussed with Winamp 5. Get it and fiddle with it!

I wasn't all that impressed with Winamp 5, when I got it. That and it kept changing all my file associations, no matter how many times I kept telling it not to.

Also, I have iTunes because I have an iPod.

When you first started winamp you probably chose to let it reset all you file associations whenever its found they had been changed
