ya this whole situation reminds me of what happen to me 4 years back. My girlfriend (of a year and a half) cheated on me with my best friend. I didn't talk to my friend for almost 2 years. I forgave him because I've known him for 10 + years and we didn't want some bitch coming in the way of our friendship
