Imagine if they did get it you know how sick that'd be. I'm guessing they'd play his music while the cameras are on the ring and it'd be one of those far away cameras at first to catch his intial flying time. But when your at that angle you just see someone fall and hit the turn buckle. that'd be horrific.

I remember something about WCW or WWE doing a lowering from the rafters stunt AT THE SAME KC ARENA a year or several years later, and there was a lot of heat from that, right?

Just a side comment... don't know if i remember correctly.

I read that before, and looked at it again. It puts a horrible feeling on me.

If he had fallen in the ring, I believe he would have survived at least a bit longer, because I believe he broke his neck on the turnbuckle. It may not have been fatal if he had fallen into the ring.

A foot one way, it could have been less than lethal. He'd likely still be crippled, but he'd have survived.

A foot the other, and he would have been even worse of a stain. Remember, he could have hit the outside as easily as the ring.

However, the way he came in was a rpetty dangerous approach, and even the softer mat might not have saved his life.

Basicallythe1 thing idon't understand about Owen Hart's death is how it could actuallyhave happened.

i mean, pplgo rockclimbing etc... all the time, and nothing ever really happens to them. pplgo sky diving, bungeejumping, etc... andvery rarely are there incidents that occur.

frankly...it makes nosense 2 me as 2how this could happen!

There's the element of chaos, my good man. Anything could happen. No matter how much you prepare. I could get all my safety equipment, go out, go rock climing, and something like the rope could snap. It's just something you can't control.

- In the early months of spring in 1999, Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart had been building a reputation as a strong tag team, with Debra as their manager. Management had planned the team to eventually split up, and Owen begin to lust after Debra, infuriating Jarrett, which would in turn plant the seeds for a bitter and very personal feud.

Owen, happily married in real life, didn't want his young children to see him cheating on his wife every Monday night, so he outright refused the angle. It was an honorable, if stubborn decision.
The result, was that Owen was saddled with the Blue Blazer gimmick. It was a persona he'd donned early in his career as a glorified jobber, and one he was forced to revisit. It was punishment for declining a well thought out angle, orchestrated to humiliate Owen, who has to don a superhero persona and spend much of his time mimicking the wrestlers in WCW.

While staring as the Blue Blazer, Owen Hart's talents were still obvious. And at "Over the Edge" 1999, he was booked to win the WWF Intercontinental Title. After that, Owen was booked to break free of the Blue Blazer gimmick, and would go onto be called "The Game", and enter into a program with Edge.-

I fond this in an article on the link i posted. I think its quite sad that the whole gimmick was a punishment. And on top of that, it seems like HHH's nickname is some kind of tribute

I always hated the fact they saddled Owen with that gimmick again. That may all be well for a guy like the hurricane, but Owen is the fucking man in the ring. That's an insult.

I could have seen Owen as "the game". He could certainly back it up in the ring better then practically anybody else, that is for damn sure.

Owen and Edge in a program? Hot shit right there, would have liked to see it.

I remember hearing about this, I was watching wrestling at the time but watched more WCW then the WWE/F. The one thing that pissed me off more then anything was what Mancow said. (Radio guy out here where I live) I think I was in my Sophmore year when it happened and My mom was driving me to school and he stated and I quote.

"This is all a gig, I bet you [[Turd]] One year from now that Owen Hart fellow will show up again"

"Yeah, they'll probably have a Coffin in the ring as a tribute thing and He'll hop out dressed as the Gobiltty Gook."

I got so pissed off I stared ranting about how disrespectful that was. I also remeber about 6-8 months later another wrestler was on the show don't remember who it was clearly but in the last minutes of the show the wrestler states.

"Hey, remember that shit you said about Owen Hart?"

"Yeah, that was some funny shit wasn't it [[Turd]]?"

The wrestler then commenced to hit Mancow and try to beat the shit out of him.

Wow, don't you think that's a little harsh? What about people who have a video of the Kennedy assassination? Do they deserve to die as well? What about people who have a video of the planes hitting the World Trade Center? Death to those people as well?

I think he meant those who want to see it.

He's probably too retarded to make sense.

Even if he's talking about people who want to see it, he's being harsh. I mean, come on. Wanting to see the video is not the same as being glad that he died.

I just went through my tapes and found the RAW after he fell. Man, it's a really sad thing to watch, but all of the stories and stuff were great. The end where Austin toasts him one last time really got me.

Just a side comment... don't know if i remember correctly.
Sting vs Vampiro Inferno match at some WCW PPV. They climbed up onto the titantron and Stunt Sting took a fall 44ft down or something. Aparantly the stunt guy got hurt doing it.

The tape of him doing his pre-match promo is creepy to me. When I watch it, I keep thinking "This man is just moments from his death and he doesn't know it". Blows my mind.
Hi, I was wondering if you could post the interview before 'the inceidnt'. I have seen it but not for a while. Thanks
