Ha Jenas to the smoggies? Yeah right.

Bowyer is about the only one you'll be able to get. Maybe Faye if he's fallen out of favour already.

See ya Butt you heap of unquestionable shit.

Where the hell has this topic been? It wasn't here last time I checked.

Whatever, anyway, I think Gordon Strachan isn't doing a very good job as manager, I missed there match at Celtic Park but I watched the news to get the result and, yes they lost but I'm pretty sure they said that Strachan pushed the Bratislava manager for no reason, did he?

But anyway, I think the Bhoys will give him one more chance to shine.

I honestly never thought he would leave, every season he gets linked with moves (normally to us) but never goes, I thought this season would be the same.

You wont be able to get jenas because he is important to the future of the club. I havent read your previous post yet, but Viana is in talks with Benfica the last i heard. And think about it, who is Souness more willing to sell and who has been criticising our chairman?Think logically. Oh wait, you can't, your a boro fan.

And Boro offering eurpean football?Hahahaha. You'll be the whooping boys of the competition.Lets see you get drawn against Deportivo and see how well you do.Your not giving Deportivo enough credit.

Newcastle is a big club and will be for the future, we will be in europe again next season.Atleast we have the chance to attract players like Owen, i don't see you trying to get him. That kinda shows you who's the bigger club in the north east now doesn't it?

Give Strachan time. It's hard to attract players to Scotland, it kinda shows what Celtic are without Larsson, teams will no longer fear Celtic now until they get a player as good as him.Sometimes it is the players fault you know.

But yeah Strachan pushed the other manager in the last minuite of the game, got to give them credit for fighting back to 4-0.

Depor went through because Newcastle committed defensive suicide, again. Boumsong fucked up by leaving Andrade to try and head a ball he had no right to go for, one goal. Then Robbie Elliott proves once again his complete shitness, 2nd goal. Apart from that I didn't see Depor offer too much. They have a new manager and are trying to work to a new system, it seemed to me a few of the players are still struggling to piece things together. They won't last that long, I don't think.

Depor aren't all that great why do you think they are in the Intertoto in the first place? Newcastle are a big club but in stature only. In terms of players and organisation they are fucking shocking. And I'm a Newcastle fan. I know you are too but you are deluding yourself if you think Newcastle are going to walk back into Europe this season. I'm not saying they won't but it will be a struggle. The defence is thinner than last year and last year it was shambolic for most of the season. Up front we are thinner and are basically relying on Shearer who is now nearly 35. I think we will probably finish 9th or so unless more signings are made particularly in defence.

Gary Neville is the most underrated right back in Europe and it pains me to admit it. Phil Neville is underrated full stop. English fans have just shit on him since Euro 2002. When he replaced Butt in midfield for us, he looked quality. I can't really recall him ever having nightmares for United either.

Bixente has done some stupid things
Community Shield coming up. I don't think it's that important. The most important thing is that Arsenal don't suffer any major injuries. A long-term injury to Senderos, or Henry, would be far worse than a loss in a meaningless game...oh, and the curse that shows that the winner never wins the title!

I seem to remember Deportivo winning the spanish league a few years ago, they've just had a couple of bad seasons or something i think. There team is full of internationals, ours isn't. I agree our defence is shit.( i even joke sometimes that our defence is just the keeper/crossbar&goalposts)I heard were getting Coco who is a left back, and is far better than Elliot. I do fear for this next season if we don't get the striker we need, if we do get a striker to partner Shearer then we have a shot at sixth place, thats where my optimism(sp?) is coming from at the moment.

packt up- I don't think it will be easy though by any means, but were still a bigger club than Middlesborough overall is the main point i was trying to make. If we can make it to 6th place this season that would be way above all my expectations. Our organization is the thing that pisses me off the most to.I do wonder what Souness says to the players on the training ground.

The trophy itsself isn't that important, but the fact that its Arsenal V Chelsea is. So i'll be watching it.

Oh and i agree with Rob about Phil Neville, he will definately improve Everton and it kinda surprisied me that Man Utd sold him.

I don't think there is a player who has been as consistent as Gary Neville in the last 10 years or so and Phil Neville is a decent enough player who can play in a variety of positions. He'll be a good signing for Everton....sadly

I actually said 'full of' meaning the whole Deportivo team. We only have a few.For example, deportivo subbed there top intenational spanish striker for another international striker. Can't remember who but thats what the commentator said, also the other striekr was an international. Deportivo are a decent team, i always expect them to finish high in the spanish league.

But did you see how Parker looked for the right pass everytime and held up the ball? Unlike the rest of the midfield(besides Emre) who just wack it up the pitch and hope for the best. Emre/Parker will be key for us, i can see them being a good combination in midfield, if we get the striker were after then we can really do some damage.

Naybett and Tristan still play for them and our good players still, not sure about Djalminha but i think he's still there. They still have players like Andrade/Valeron&Luque though. But i wont deny it was our defensive mistakes that fucked the match up for us.

Well Naybet plays for Spurs now, and Tristan hasn't been good for a number of years but losing to Depor is nothing really embarrasing, they're like Newcastle i suppose. I didn't see any of the games but it just sounds like the manner in which you went out (defensive errors by the sounds of it) which should be annoying.

Figo has joined Inter, and Jenas could well be leaving Newcastle, with Tottenham interested because they obviously don't have enough central midfield players

NUFC fans need to wake up and stop deluding themselves. Your club is in the shits. Freddy Sheppard has sold you all out and your defence is thinner than Alan Shearer's hair. There is very little chance of you making the top six this season considering the competition for European places.

Unless serious signings are made in defence and a new striker is brought into the club things are not going to improve. Souness is going to kill your team just like he liked mine ten years ago. Be prepared for a long, barron spell and remember the good old days when you were 12 points clear and the country loved you. Now you'll be lucky to get 12 points from the first 6 games and the country looks at you like a laughing stock.

TL, seriously do you honestly think Owen will go to newcastle, do you honestly think they bid for Rooney, do you honestly think they asked about Viduka?

The answer is no to all. They, like every other team in any league are using the big name tactics to try and sell more season tickets/shirts/merchandise. Owen will not go to newcastle purley because they arnt consistant enough for him. I dont mean result wise I mean as they arnt constantly in the champions league. If Owen comes back he will go to United or Arsenal.

Newcastle are not the biggest team in the northeast, if you go by local fans with season tickets within a 10 mile radius you will find Boro are. If you go by stadium capacity then Newcastle are, If you ask The Mackum then Sunderland are. If you go by results then last season Boro are.

Your club is in a mess on and off the pitch and now Jenas is unhappy. So back to what I said before ......... JENAS for Boro ?????? haha

Naybett and Djalminha don't.

Also, Deportivo's squad all apparently hated each other last year and seemed to quite regularly fight (with the coach as well) on the training ground. Luque wants out, Tristan has talked about wanting out. Messed up team.

You have totally missed the point of my posts.

Firstly, what i meant about Owen was, he had more of a chance of being attracted to us than you. And we have the money to bring players like him, hey did you buy Emre and Parker? Erm lets see, NO!The reason also why we bidded for Rooney was something to do with our chairman(being the criminal shit that he is) knowing Rooneys agent, and Man Utd were always going to get him, but the agent wanted more money from the transfer so he contacted our chairman to make a high bid first, which would force Man Utd to rush their bid and make a higher one, and so the 'bidding war' began. We were never seriously after him.It was for no other purpose than Rooneys agent, i think Kenny Dalglish was invovled to but i don't remember how, but thats how i remember the story.

Thirdly, football fans only talk about the short term. over history we have won more than you, you have won one fucking trophy. Thats it. I think about the long-term of things, unlike most dumbass football fans.(and yes, i am talking about you)

Finally, yes our club is a mess. Do you read my posts you stupid retard?I have already said our organization is shocking/our chairman is a criminal. And Shepherd has denied Jenas has asked for a transfer, i think its Jenas's agent trying to get him a move to one of the top four clubs.

Now read that post properly if you can you dumb shit.

Wow, i didn't know that. That sounds completely like us.I forgot Naybett was at spurs now, dunnow here djalminha has gone, i always thought of him as a deportivo player.

And by the way to anyone who's overreacting to my comment about we could do some serious damage, i said that if we get the striker we need then we could do some damage, but as of right now teams are just isolating alan shearer, so it doesn't look good. I predict Arsenal will win 5-0 against us on the opening day.

Yeah pretty much the whole reason Pandiani is at Birmingham now is because he criticised like half the squad for being lazy bastards and not trying.

To be fair, Sheff Utd's last 2 goals were poor defending, but you'd have to be blind (or possibly Dazz) to deny that the second "penalty" changed the match.

And that match shows you how refereeing decisions can change the game. No doubt that ref was giving the home team the advantage just because they were at home.I hate stupid refs like that. And Gillespie is a good player, i still don't understand why we(newcastle) got rid of him.
