Every year the entire nation is like "This year it's different.. __________ has a good enough defense and running game to hang with *insert hot SEC team*" and every year this same thing happens.. The only time it hasn't happened the century was last year when both teams were SEC teams..

ND can't bitch about anything. Their fucking AD has as much pull as a conference commissioner. Can't bitch about anything. No other school has their own BCS contract, network TV contract, etc. I am loving the sight of Notre Dame being drawn and quartered in the biggest game in the history of their "prestigious" program.

Is the SEC's best better than everybody else's best? Yes, but just because Bama and LSU are on another level than everybody else doesn't mean the rest of their conference is on that level too.

I am glad ND is getting completely annihilated. As much as I hate the SEC cock-sucking, I hate Notre Dame more than any other entity in college football barring the Longhorns. The other positive is that Notre Dame will replace Oklahoma as the team to receive the biggest ass-whooping in the BCS Title game (OU lost by 36 points to USC in 2005 [55 - 19], but that win has since been vacated).

I like SEC football. I hate SEC cocksuckers who root for a whole conference more than they do their own team. What the fuck kind of shit is that? It is 3 schools in the SEC that have dominated. 3 out of 12/14. Auburn was a flash in the pan that will probably end up giving their trophy back before it is all said and done. Mississippi State or Tennessee has fuck all to do with LSU, Alabama, and Florida being dominant. TAMU went from doormat in the Big 12 to the hottest team in college football/SEC.

Nick Saban is going to be considered the greatest college football coach of all time when he retires. He has at least 5 more years before he even contemplates retirement. He already has 4 national titles at 2 schools, and has won 3 of the last 4 (and would have won in 2010 too if Auburn and $cam Newton didn't pull off that heist). Alabama is on a completely different level than everybody else right now, and he doesn't make the stupid coaching decisions Les Miles does. LSU could easily do what Alabama does, but Les Miles gets in his own way.

Best advantage he has over the rest of the SEC is how easily he keeps developing NFL-quality defenses each year. LSU gets lucky maybe once every 3-4 years while Florida was really great for just 2 years.

Also helps that he's really close to Belichick to the point every offseason they hang out together a few times. Usually BB gives Saban defense advice and Saban gives him advice on what players to go after from the SEC for a draft.

What I hated about Meyer's deal was when he left and complained about the "sense of entitlement in the program" and "recruiting tactics". A) It is your program. You set the tone. B) You didn't have a problem with it until you weren't winning crystal footballs anymore.

Keep in mind that I dislike both these teams.

I just wish this game were played while Notre Dame were hot instead of a January afterthought. Now, it's a fargone conclusion that the "National Championship" will be yet another SEC cocksucking extravaganza. Would have been some sort of game, and should ad another log in the fire of legitimizing a viable (as in, beyond the "4 team" thing they're going to) playoff system that EVERY other division AND pretty much every other sport has.

Much like JS, I dislike the fact that, supposedly, "TEH SEC RUELZ ALL!!!" simply from hype and recognition. Somehow, a 2 loss SEC team is still considered a national title contender and can back into the National Championship. Meanwhile, a team like a Boise State has crawled their way up from 1-AA to BCS contenders, and they get no respect because any team that could legitimize their schedule doesn't want to play them over fear of getting exposed and getting that late season loss that dashes the entire school's hopes. I actually would have tolerated a year of out-of-the-woodwork Notre Dame fans (it's not like they're gonna repeat the success of this season) over the "say it enough times and it becomes fact" about the SEC. They keep winning, which attracts the best players, who let them keep winning. If some up-and-coming team (yes, even Northwestern) played like a monster long enough AND actually got a fair shake in the rankings, even they can knock off an Alabama.

As for Meyer getting embarassed and leaving Columbus... it's a little bit of a different bear at the Horseshoe. He can foster .500 teams for the rest of his career and no one will give a fuck as long as he kicks ass over Michigan. An occasional national title is fine, but as long as he doesn't drop to John Cooper levels of losing to "that team up north", he'll be fine.
