Louisville is playing better than they are though, I'd expect by season's end they are low in the poll or not in it at all.

So that isn't interpreted wrong, I don't say that because they play in the Big East, I saw that because they are playing without their best two players, who also happened to be two of the best in the country.
Although they very well could stay highly ranked if they avoid losing a bad game, because from here on out they really only have one or two games that will be really tough, so if they go 10-2 on the season they will probably be ranked higher than they deserve, IMO. To clarify, since this is kind of the discussion I had with Stima before, since Louisville is highly ranked now, the only way that their team can get lower is by losing really. So even though the team right now doesn't have its two best players, if it wins out against bad opponents there will be no real justification for the pollers to vote them less, even though they might not be as good as they once were. |

Yeah they still have to play Rutgers and WVU.
Both pretty good teams this year, Rutgers has probably the best one-two combo in the nation (FB/RB wise anyway) |

Louisville will be undefeated going into WVU hopefully. I think Brohm gets back for that game too, so it will be pretty exciting. Had Bush not got hurt they would have been SCARY.

WATCH OUT FOR RUTGERS
Pretty sure they play Lousville before Lousville plays WVU but yeah Brohm will definetly be back for the WVU - I heard he might be coming back like this week maybe |

Rutgers has a chance to stay a pretty solid program, if they do what BC does. Boston College gets like every single prospect from Massachusetts - hardly any of them ever go to schools out of the state. So if Rutgers is able to do that with New Jersey they'd be able to get some real good players. Mix that in with some speed guys from down south and grab a few from Ohio area, you're gonna be pretty nice. Rutgers getting good is gonna definetly hurt BC though, since BC gets a lot of top players out of NJ (Currently have Brian Toal)

BC only gets players from Ohio because Tom O'Brien is from Cincinnati.

Minnesota gets tonns of players from Ohio. A bunch of teams like that don't produce enough good players and use Ohio, Florida, Texas and California to supplement them. Hence why there are so many good teams from those states, they get the first choice.

Word
Rutgers coach is from Miami, so he'd probably have more pull down there. I dunno though, I won't be surprised if the Rutgers coach ends up up the Miami coach next season. If that happens Rutgers is all done |

Yeah Coker is definetly gone, especially since all that winning he did was with players he didn't recruit.
Although he has gotten some pretty big recruits to come in, Kyle Wright was one of the top HS QBs, and this Jarvis (or whatever his name is) James seems to be pretty legit. 148 yards as a true freshman, broke Clinton Portis true freshman record of 147. I still think he'll be gone though since he hasn't met the expectations of the U Last edited by Jesus Shuttlesworth; 10-05-2006 at 12:02 PM. |

Really, in the ACC this year, there is no reason why a Miami team with this much talent should be unranked.

lol FSU just lost to NCState last night. ACC is so off this year it isn't even right. I don't understand how two of the top teams from Florida can have fucking awful offenses, it makes no sense to me at all.

There is no clear cut No. 2 right now, this is really fucked up. Auburn showed that last week at USC wasn't a fluke and will probably fall close to 10, if not lower. I still refuse to believe that USC is the second best team in the nation right now. Florida, Michigan, West Virginia, etc. are all possibilities, but I just don't think any of them stands out as No. 2.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it is West Virginia now. I think that if they go undefeated and handily beat Louisville, there won't really be a reason to deny them. What I would put right now: 1. Ohio State 2. Florida 3. USC 4. Michigan 5. West Virginia 6. Texas 7. Louisville (by default) 8. Notre Dame 9. Auburn 10. Tennessee |

If Florida goes undefeated they are easily the clear cut #2. They have the most ridiculous schedule ever
I really don't know how they are gonna be able to go undefeated, but we'll see. Actaully if they run the table I'd say they are #1 |

BUT, the flawed polling system tends to take the stance of "You can't lose the top spot without losing a game."
Texas probably should have been No. 1 part of last year, but USC had to lose before people would vote Texas. Kinda lame IMO. |

Well it wouldn't really matter if both OSU and UF ran the table since they'd be playing each other. Then we'd really see who is #1

Is it an ACC thing to have a Thursday game, or how is it determined? I doubt ESPN just randomly asks teams to change their games to Thursday mid-season, because that would fuck up the season ticket holders. So they must be determined preseason.

so I went to Clemson/Temple last night. It was fun cause I've never been to Panthers Stadium before. But the game was seriously the most boring sporting event I've ever been too. Prob the 63-9 score that did me in.
Clemson has some pretty hot cheerleaders/dancers though. |

Why was the game played in Panthers Stadium? Also why was Temple the home team in that situation?

I dunno. I guess it was a special situation. Clemson was the home team. There were like 30 Temple fans and the rest Clemson. Hence the Clemson cheerleaders as well.

Holy shit this Mizzou game has been sweet so far. A 64 yard should-be touchdown on the first drive is knocked out through the end zone. A&M gets a bunch of calls, then Mizzou completely holds them on the line. Next offensive possession, Chase Daniel and Chase Coffman just dominate.
I think Mizzou will pull away soon, because Texas A&M has had most of its success on trick plays, like a fake option and a reverse pass. Mizzou has had a couple sweet plays too, the WR pass that ended up in a forward latteral for first down, and Chase Coffman bobbles the pass and Howard picks it up an goes. This game is on ABC in a third of the nation, if you aren't watching it, it has been hella exciting so far. We are looking real good. |
