The Gooch's words were stolen from my mind. Disregard what he said and attribute it to me.

Berkman has been the man leading up to and including the playoffs for the Astros.

I despise the Cardinals yet can't help wanting them to win against Houston. And Pujols obliverated that pitch.

It seemed like he was hitting that thing with a tennis racket. He absolutely killed that ball. If they come back and win this series. That shot will be legendary.

Why not walk Pujols and try your luck with Sanders?

Then a single could tie it and a double could have given them the lead. I think they had to go after Pujols this time.

Walking Edmonds was crucial. He's the guy they needed to go after.

After Eckstein got on, they needed to get Edmonds out. Lets not forget that Sanders has been the man this playoff season so far for the Cards. |

I dunno, I would much rather Lidge face Sanders than Pujols. I know it's in hindsight but still.

3-0 Astros. Not really surprised, Mulder has never shown up for a big game ever.

Should be a good series. I'd like to see the Astros win it all but I really wouldn't be all that mad if the Sox won either.

Yeah, I'd like to see the white sox break their "streak", but I'd also like to see Biggio & Bagwell get a ring. |

From a story perspective you can't go wrong either way with these two teams.
If Clemens wins I'm thinking he will retire. And then go play for the Red Sox.

as long as big frank can finally get his ring. i just don't think that will be enough to moce him over the top and into the HOF one day.
if only he didn't get hurt the last few seasons. he'd have 500 + HRs easy. |

Neither team is a favourite of mine, I wouldn't care who won, as long as it's good baseball.

If Bagwell was actaully playing I'd go for the 'Stros but i'd rather see the White Sox win it since they haven't won it in a while. Plus when I went to Chicago the people where crazy nice too so throw that in thurrrrr

I love people who say "Clemens is just as good now as he ever was." He had ERAs of 4.35 and 3.91 his last 2 years of the AL, it's not a coincidence his effectiveness drops enormously against the White Sox and against the AL all star team. I'm not saying Clemens sucks, but the NL sure does.

as for WS, year, it's 2 countries that have teams, however the best of the best come and play in the MLB. That's where the best play, that's where the money is, so "World Series" is fine. I did find it funny they said Contrares brother was riding on horseback to a shack to listen to the game on someone's radio in Cuba... gee, think that makes it easier for Castro to find him? They also said in Cuba Castro bans the use of the names of players who defected. Didn't Castro try out for the Mets in the 1950's? Imagine how things might be different... |

Its going to be weird and even kind of a kick in the face when the White Sox win, but I really just can't see Houston winning for some reason. Granted I said the same thing about the NLCS.
The one good thing about the White Sox winning is that it would shit all over the faces of stupid Cubs fans, although everybody from Chicago is magically Sox fan's now that they are good. |
