No, because I don't make excuses for my team like you do. We didn't play good enough defense. La La La La La Mamba was utterly unstoppable (and Raja not making him do shit on defense didnt really help). So we lost. The Lakers are not the better team. The better team doesn't get bounced every year in the first round. Sorry.

... Last year's team is not the same as this year's team if you haven't noticed. Adding Fisher and Gasol has changed everything. Also, our bench is playing phenomenal.

Your team never plays defense to begin with. The only reason they can win so many games is because of their type of offense. Don't use the excuse you guys didn't play defense for that game. That's why the Suns can't make it to the finals because the playoffs are those times when teams LOCK down on defense and then the Suns can't handle themselves. I'm one of Steve Nash's biggest supporters but you gotta look at the writing on the wall

the Suns dont play D. Everyone knows this. And comparing last years Laker team to this years is just a TAD retarded, considering the strides we have made with adding players this year and playing well together.

That'd be like comparing championship banners in the building. But i mean, if you wanna do that....

see Wadding, this Laker team is better than the Suns. The only team i think may be superior (and only because they play great, almost flawless ball together) is the Spurs.

I like the Lakers odds at this point, but I still think the Suns are just as good, and over a series it could go either way. The Suns play good D, they just run such a fast O, that they give up alot of points in return. Spurs added Damon Stoudemire and Kurt Thomas, which is far less flashy than any of their rivals, but the kind of solid moves that put them over the top again. I do not think there is a better run organization in any sport? Maybe the Pats in the NFL.

Phx doesn't play defense and the Celtics aren't the top scoring team in the league, the Celtics are one of the best defenses in the league.

The Celtics shot like crap last night and still played good enough defense not to get blown out by one of the top offenses in the game.

make it to the finals and play like that and you'll get swept by Boston or Detroit.

That being said, I don't see Phx making it to the west finals never mind the nba finals.

Hahahaha

I love when the "Well, the better team didn't win tonight" argument comes up when somebody's team loses. Most of the time, it is followed by a few other excuses. I also love how you guys are talking about the Suns not playing defense and then allows a top 10 offense a mere 77 points. I ALSO find it funny that Laker fans are saying Phoenix doesn't play defense, yet Phoenix only allows a mere 2 points or so more than the Lakers. Yeah, what's that say about your team?

The ironic fact of the game is that Phoenix didn't even play that well offensively. They turned the ball over 20+ times and they are normally a great team with the ball. And, they STILL won. The difference in the game was that Boston got DOMINATED on the boards. Shaq and.....GRANT HILL almost had more boards than the WHOLE Boston team. Grant Hill!!!

PS - Suns missed Barbosa after he got that shot from P squared. A lot of chippiness was shown from the Celts. I guess the stellar defense frustrated them.

I also saw a few people talk about the Suns "not making it to the finals because they don't play defense". I believe everyone knows why they didn't make it to the finals last year, and it had NOTHING to do with defense.

to clarify, my comments about the Suns not being a better team then the Celtics really had nothing to do with either team and everything to do with Wadding saying that the Lakers were not better then the Suns even though they had just beat the Suns.

That being said, I don't see the Suns beating boston in a 7 game series...

They don't play great defense, but they are a good scoring team.

The addition of Shaq with a focus on "just get rebounds" if a big help for the Suns, but I still think it's Boston or Detroit this year.

Well the Celtics beat the Pistons and the Pistons just smashed the Suns, so that must make the Celtics the better team? I mean cuz it seems like a lot of people where deciding this off of one game

I'm a HUGE Big Shot fan, but what he did had more of an impact on the series than anything. That totally turned the momentum and the series. Period.
