The only logical way for Triple H to retire is for him to beat Cena in the main event of WrestleMania to become the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He will then announce he is retiring and a massive 64-man tournament begins to crown the next Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Terra Ryzing would win said tournament.

Vince comes out and offers HHH his chairman spot, passing the torch to HHH family wise and business wise.

He doesn't seem old enough for that to work (yes I know this is half-joking) but, remember when Mick Foley came out of "retirement" for one last main-event? He actually had the potential of winning the belt but, after the victory he'd vacate the title. I've always been intrigued in that sort of thing happening.

And a 64 man tourney sure would shake things up, it'd make the title scene a lot more interesting than what it has become (not talking about Smackdown). They'd definitely have to unify the two belts again for at least a year.

I imagine his retirement would involve ascending to heaven in a fiery chariot like that one prophet who I'm too lazy to look up did.

Come to think of it as much as it's unlikely to happen I wouldn't mind seeing him being retired by CM Punk via a Super Pedigree (aka Pepsi Plunge) which used to be his finisher.
