funny, once he turns heel, the over 16 crowd will start cheering him. The women and kids will be sad though

I think the kids will boo, but I honestly think the women will still cheer for him. They are just waiting for him to take off his shirt. I mean, look at The Rock. Everyone cheered him...even when he was a total heel.

I do hope that, with this talk of VKM being more open to the idea, and my hopes of a Cena/Orton Mania match, that they do it the right way, and let the turn progress and happen naturally, rather than rushing into it and not having any build. If Cena is to turn heel, it could be one of the biggest turns in the last decade. Something of that magnitude needs to be carefully handled and plotted well. I won't hold my breath. |

Cena should lose to Barrett at Hell in a Cell. It would put over Barrett, the Nexus, and create a gripping storyline for Cena to be a part of. He wouldn't be a heel -- but he'll need to join Nexus. They can have him look sad after he does something for Nexus, and all that -- so we know that Cena is still good, but he's been caught in this trap. They need to stress that Cena HAS to do what he is doing, though. Something about the contract saying he needs to do what Barrett says or orphan children die -- you know, that sort of thing.
Cena has to wear Nexus clothes, and he has to wrestle who Barrett tells him to. The GM can take part by saying that out of integrity to the stipulation, he is going to make sure that Cena does seem like a functional part of Nexus. The storyline then becomes "How will Cena escape from the big N (not Nintendo)?" One possibility is to have Darren Young cost Cena the match. Cena was the guy who beat Young, which led to him being kicked out of the group -- and Cena just walked to the back as Young got his ass handed to them by the group. Young's reasons for wanting back in? He doesn't get the opportunities by himself, and he has something to prove. He also just couldn't resist a chance to screw Cena over. He can try subterfuge, and pleading to some of the Nexus members that there are different ways to go about things, etc. They can show some of the members starting to listen to Cena. Johnny Boy can try and drive a wedge between Barrett and David Otunga, for example. But yeah, at Bragging Rights, Barrett captains a Nexus team of six against a RAW team of six and a SmackDown! team of six -- perhaps Nexus can even win, since there is less dysfunction on their side than their obviously will be on RAW and SmackDown!. Eventually, Cena can succeed in splitting Nexus down the middle. Barrett and Otunga will probably be the figureheads on opposite sides. Sticking with Barrett would probably be Justin Gabriel and Darren Young. On Otunga's side would be Heath Slater, Michael Tarver and perhaps Skip Sheffield. Otunga's team is fuelled by ego, whereas Barrett's group is sticking to the original ideology of Nexus. Cena has succeeded in his goal (somewhat), but Barrett reminds Cena that he is chained to him, and he is forced to make up that open slot on the Barrett team: Wade Barrett, John Cena, Justin Gabriel & Darren Young vs. David Otunga, Heath Slater, Skip Sheffield & Michael Tarver. The Barrett/Cena union wins out, and perhaps Barrett & Cena can even have a run as WWE Tag Team Champions? This all builds to Cena getting another shot at freedom -- and he wins it. But then comes his actual heel turn. After following Cena on this wrought emotional journey, where we were positioned to cheer him, even though he was doing these things we could not get behind -- him spitting that all back in our faces would be a rather effective and shocking way to turn him heel, in my opinion. |

...I don't see him becoming a FULL FLEDGED HEEL, at least not NOW...
...WWE will probably do with Cena what they did with HBK when he was forced to join JBL...have Cena be "forced" to unwillingly join NeXus, until somehow he comes up with another stipulation and then is able to leave NeXus and finish 'em. Who knows? |

The Nexus shirts should be green. Aptly defines the group.
