I never called him an idiot. I actually admitted that he put forth a good effort and his rankings weren't THAT bad. I just think parts of it lacked logic. It's constructive criticism. Take it or leave it.

There definitely still would have been an Evolution without the Horsemen, though.

McMahon-Helmsley faction should be ranked in your top 6 or 7...especially if Ministry of Darkness ranks in at 6. WWE ratings were at its absolute highest in history during the early and mid part of 2000. In the absence of Austin, The Rock became the #1 face of the company....and his #1 opposition was the McMahon-Helmsley Faction.

What are you basing your rankings on? HOW are you basing your rankings? If you're basing on personal prefence and subjectivity, then that's fine....just say so. Otherwise, your rankings mean absolutely nothing without objective and tangible criteria...which ultimately means that you are talking out of your ass.
I factored in WWF being highly rated during the McMahon-Helmsley Faction that's why they are ranked as highly as they were. Those shows during that time were great, but you also have to realize that McMahon-Helmsley Faction is little more than DX with Vince and Stephanie.

Four Horsemen are a no brainer number 1. Four Horsemen were the most entertaining faction in which everyone in the faction had great mic skills when they first started not to mention all the members were great workers especially in the earliest incarnations. They also had a clearly defined goal (ie holding all the titles in the NWA and keeping the belt on Flair). All of that and they were the original and longest lasting faction of all time. The Four Horsemen were around on and off for over a decade and they are the measuring stick to which all stables are based.

I loved Hart Foundation but they can't be number one since it was just a vehicle for Bret Hart to be a heel and the rest of the guys were just thugs helping him. I'm over simplyfing their faction but you could even call The Hart Foundation "The Canadian Four Horsemen" as my grandfather nused to refer to them as.

I was trying to be objective as possible basing my rankings on longevity, impact, recognizability, and enjoyability. Obviously when making such a list my personal prefarences will obviously bleed through, especially considering one of my criteria is "enjoyability" which has to be objective.

Their was no formula that I came up with to make this list I just wanted to make a list. And the hole point of the list is to breed friendly discussion as people agree and disagree with my rankings.

I'm actually kinda flattered I didn't know people even remember me doing those.

I was thinking of having my 4000th post be another one of those threads where I ask people to give me subjects to make top 10 lists of. Since I know people enjoy them maybe I'll start a thread like that soon... It is always a rep bonanza.

To be fair Evolution was slightly different gimmick. Four Horsemen was the current elite assembled as opposed to Evolution which was the past present and future of the buisness.

They were certainly entertaining I guess it all depends on when you really got into wrestling, or perhaps who your favorite wrestlers are.

Personally my favorite stable is probably Generation Next from ROH back when Alex Shelley was their leader because I loved Shelley, Aries and Strong. I think of Alex Shelley as one of the most under utilized talents in pro wrestling today. The guy is the goods in every aspect of the game.
