I really find it awkward that Toy Story 3 was also best picture nominated aside from the other sub categories it had... Very rare for a CGI cartoon to be on the fore front of Oscars.

They expanded the best movie category to include a more diverse group of movies that don't have a chance of winning.

Kings Speech was a great film and Toy Story had every right to be included as part of the 10 Best Picture nominees.

I didn't say Toy Story didn't deserve to be their, it just had no chance of winning because it is a "cartoon for kids."

You kinda know what movie is going to win best animated movie award when only one of the nominated movies of that category is also nominated for best movie.

There is no point in expanding the category for 10 pictures when you know they are still going to pick the same kinds of movies year after year.

I never really held a high value in the Oscars but its nice that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won. The score was better than the movie, which was average and overrated.

In the newspaper here everybody had a hard-on for The Social Network, predicting it would win best movie. Am I the only one who didn't like the movie?

Haven't seen The King's Speech though, so I can't comment on that one.

I do think Colin Firth deserved to win

He is a helluva great actor and is finally being seen as a top star
