Agreed, those vids were enjoyable, and they also support the point I was making regarding these two competitors. There is a reason he's known as electrifying, his masterful skills on the mic, in that arena Rock is leaps and bounds beyond not only Eddie, but possibly everyone else. But watch the 2nd vid. Did Rock win? Yes. But he only looked so impressive because of his ability to overcome the assault by Eddie, if Rock had done the same exact moves to an average joe, it would be seen as a neat and clean match and nothing more.

Of course I don't wish to downplay the Rock's ability, as he well deserves the millions (and millions) of praise he's received, but I'm guessing the reason Rock Bottom posted the two vids was the showcase both mic and mat skills and in that regard, Rock did not impress me on both fronts.

If you'll recall, that conversation arose because you were getting uppity about people not voting for Eddie over Andre because Eddie was the better in ring talent. My response to you was that this was not Better Ring Technician, it's Better Wrestler. And even though you personally might associate the word wrestler solely with in ring skills, it may mean something else to other people. And neither interpretation is wrong. That's the beauty of it. That's what creates the debate. And it's why we've had 215 of these things and only have 11 Hall of Famers.

...Yeah, but Eddie vs Andre is a whole 'nother ballgame.

Andre had no mic skills, no wrestling skills...he was just BIG. That was it. "Latino Heat" was better.

There is no set criteria, each person votes on whoever they think is better.

If Mic skill, technical ability or what have helped them reach a decision, then who cares. They made the choice for some reason.

Its all based on personal preferation of each wrestler.

That's why no one will beat the rock for me, he was who I enjoyed most when I was into wrestling.

some some, its Hogan, for some Austin, etc.

Rock is awesome when it comes to his mic skills and charisma but in the ring the guy was fairly bland to say the least. Eddie on the other hand was awesome on the mic and very excellent in the ring so Eddie gets my vote on this one. And no I'm not jumping on the 'he's dead' bandwagon I've been an Eddie mark since I first saw him perform and I'll always be an Eddie mark.

The Rock

Eddie might have been better in terms of actual wrestling skills but The Rock was much better in terms of an overall package especially in promos.

The Rock also benefited by being involved in one of the biggest feuds during the Attitude Era with Rock vs Stone Cold to go along with having a bit more quality feuds than Eddie overall.

I'm glad everyone is taking their rasslin super cereal. Rock is better rassler bc he is more marketable. He had the catch phrases, the eyebrow, the millions, the movie roles and the taking off his elbow pad and throwing it in the crowd before doing the peoples elbow. Stuff like that matters BIG TIME. Eddie guerrero married Vickie and did drugs and died because he married Vickie. So in summary, Hulk Hogan is the best ever.
