i thought hendo was playing possum in the fourth. like okay he got rocked but when he was stumbling back arms down and then fired off the quickest right i'd seen the entire fight, i dunno. then again it looked like he was playing possum the entire last 2 rounds.

This card was beyond unbelievable. This was the best card I've seen thus far this year... only being rivaled by UFC Brazil.

Finally got around to watching the PPV and HOLY SHIT Shogun - Hendo was AMAZING!

still kind of crazy since rampage made 250k for his title shot apparently, plus FOTN bonus. especially since i don't think cung le has actually been in anything worth a shit.

They didn't buy his contract out. They negotiated with him to come to the UFC. Definitely got the payday because he's a "movie star."

I think he's like a legend in San Jose though, from what I've gathered. So maybe he had an effect on the live gate? :S

Shogun is a beast though taking all that punishment and still being able to control the 4th and 5th..

You could def tell that Le had ring rust, but he def did enough in the first round to get another fight in the UFC..

He's almost 40 though and I don't see anyone in the upper echelons of 185 who wouldn't beat him cleanly whether in the stand up or on the ground. I think Rich Franklin might be the only "big name" that he would have a chance of beating in an exciting fashion with his style.

He told me he wanted to retire over a year ago.. But so did Hendo..

I can see them giving him a fight with someone like Akyama or Leban or someone on a Fight Night card..
