), but it does disappoint me a touch. Keep in mind, I haven't followed most of the media you've mentioned, so this is rlatively new to me. Yes, I'm stuck in the 90s. Deal with it.there's some solid funny stuff in the Giant Bomb preview, so it's not like I hate everything going on here. The humour in the trailers seemed forced a lot, though. Like the sequel to an organically funny and often dark comedy being done solely to honour a promise to a friend since he stayed clean and wanted to reprise a crazy stoner. |

I'm having fun with this game, but I'm glad I didn't pay for it. The only reason I'm only a couple levels in is I replayed to try and get some achievements. I have trouble seeing this as worth more than a rental, even if you really love Deadpool or forced wackiness.
I would also enjoy it more if the aiming didn't seem so sluggish and the camera didn't seem so stubborn. |

My amazon.com review
It's simply a fun self-aware zany hack n slash 3rd person shooter platformer. If this came out 2 years ago, I bet ratings for it would be at least 7.0 to 7.5 since there's nothing really that bad about it besides some bland level designs. I see no reason to expect 'Triple A' treatment for every game. It's basically a "2007/2008 era shooter/slashing/jumping game with a Deadpool twist. The humor in this, while a bit juvenile at times is still amusing and worth a play through alone. So if you like Deadpool/Marvel comics and/or games like Dantes Inferno, God of War, Shinobi on PS2, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, X-Men:Origins: Wolverine, ... you'll probably dig this. It's one of Marvel's best games. |
