He is awesome on the ground though.. Even though he doesn't have a sub win in the UFC, earlier in his career the majority of his wins were by submission..

don't recall seeing that little picture in picture box showing somebody in the crowd before. I doubt that and having Silva on Primetime/mentioning a potential fight on there is a co-incidence

Fell asleep after the Cote fight but somehow managed to wake up and see the last 30 seconds of the GSP fight. I will need to watch it later but at least I know who won. And why does Goldberg pronounce RYU as "Roo"? It should be either Ree-yu or Rye-yu

Ryu 流 = "Roo". That is the correct pronounciation. This is not Street Fighter.

Just watching GSP fight from a technical standpoint is a beautiful thing. Whether it was the way he threw his jabs during the Koscheck fight, his takedowns or how he countered Condit's reversals/submission attempts when they were on the ground. He's so well rounded.

Not sure why we needed to watch Anderson Silva watch GSP fight for most of the fight. Silva/GSP has pretty much been rammed down our throats, we get it. The picture in picture was overkill. I hope they don't do that ever again.

I wonder if it was one of those situations where you realize your opponent is so much better than what you even expected and your best might not be good enough because of it.

First and foremost, we shouldn't keep calling Hendricks a wrestler.. That dude's left hand is made of granite.. He is of the Chuck Liddell state of mind where you use your wrestling to keep it standing..

The Condit/GSP fight went exactly as I pictured it.. It wasn't boring like most of GSP's wrestlefucks, mainly cause Condit is so good off of his back.. That head kick in the 3rd was sicccc as was the Superman Punch in the 5th..

Great fight..

I felt bad for Allesio Sakara.. Yeah they were shots to the back of the head but Cote was already done.. Plus, Randy Couture has been very vocal about the reason behind that rule.. They don't want people getting hit at the base of the skull where the spinal cord attaches, which could cause paralysis.. Getting hit where Sakara was hitting Cote was no different than above the ear..

Great fight..Condit is an animal he stayed busy and was effective with almost everything. I almost would prefer a Hendricks/GSP match next ..

I like the Hendrix actually lives up to his nickname "Big Rig". I think his striking is a tad one dimensional but there's no denying that he could become like Hendo, where even though his striking isn't polished, it is still a factor and still very very dangerous. I think George will have him well scouted though, and whilst maybe not outwrestling him, will be able to either establish his range and avoid the power or clinch up against the cage and strike when he releases him. That big knockout power of Big Rig will always be an X factor but I think he isn't multi faceted enough to really threaten a prepared gsp.
