Plenty of mega stars have been built without them breaking the streak, but keeping it intact means it can be constantly referred to.

help mythologise the WWE a little more, for example. Miz is on a WM winning streak, and they can use the comparision to get him over in the future.

In fact I definately think it should remain intact because breaking it can get one guy over, but intact it can get over more.
