Well he’s going to be 22-0 this year, so I’d keep him on until WM XXXIII and have him get to 25-0 with some epic battle against like Cena or somebody/

Taker fights Brock at 30. They beat the living shit out of each other, but Taker still pulls out a victory. He's in the ring all busted up, goes down to his knee to do his pose, lights don't go out. He looks around confused. Suddenly, lights cut out and Sting's video package hits the screen. Sting comes to the ring in a Taker-like entrance. They face off in the ring. Sting points his bat at the Wrestlemania sign, then nails Taker with the Scorpion Death Drop. Match is set up for next year.
Throughout the year, weird shit starts happening. Once a month, the lights will go out when they shouldn't. Titantron videos are interrupted with a flickering picture of Sting's mask. Finally, at Royal Rumble, Taker comes. He says that he has been the most dominant force in the WWE for over 30 years, and that he is looking towards the sundown of his career. Suddenly Sting comes out and says that over is career he has defeated any and all challengers, but he's the one man that he's never taken on. Taker agrees to the match, the final of his stoic career. For the next 3 months, everyone who has faced Taker and lost comes out. They all talk about how they should have been the one to defeat him, and how they want to be the one to end his career. Sting answers them all, lays a few out. At Wrestlemania, Sting and Taker put on a great match. Taker goes over. Suddenly, lights go out. When they come back, all of the ghosts of Taker's past surround the ring. The enter, and surround Taker. Taker puts his fists up for a fight, but they all drop to their knee and give his salute, effectively sending him off in a fitting tribute. |

I don't like the idea of Sting laying out guys in the ring. He's just not that good anymore.

I couldn't stand him when he was working with Orton. Thought his matches sucked.

undertaker wins his last match against Cena. He stands in the ring and suddenly the arena goes dark then a lone spot light shines from above on taker.
At his feet are his original purple gloves, his hat, and his trench coat...he puts them on. He then looks up into the heavens, the spot light shimmers brightly, almost a white out... He starts to rise up , seemingly levitated upwards. we hear the disembodied voice of paul bearer " ohhhhh yesssss" as the undertaker disappears into the heavens. The arena light comes on...his hat flutters to down to the ring. Taker is no more. |

Or Doc Brown could drive in with the Delorean and take him away.

I would have at Wm31 have Taker beat Funaki in a 30 minute classic. Then at WM32 have Taker come out saying that he wants to beat the best talent ever in WWE before he retires. So Hardcore Holly comes out and they got 1 hour.

His, Orton wasn't holding him back in the ring against other guys. I figure he was just pretty green and is now really good.

Fair enough, but 25 = silver. It's no gold, but 'Taker doesn't need any more gold. His legacy is cemented and definitely rooted in his undefeated WM streak. If you take that away, you have no real talking points for when he finally goes into the WWE HoF.

I think 21 wins at Wrestlemania is just one of the great things you can mention about Undertaker during the HOF. He did a lot of great non-Wrestlemania stuff too. I don't know why we're now defining his entire career on this one, admittedly cool, part of his character.
The last few years of Undertaker making rare appearances outside of WM does not make his entire career WM oriented. He didn't throw Foley off the cell at Mania, he didn't beat HBK inside the first ever cell match at Mania either. I say piss off all the fans and end the streak the only way it can be broken, by cheating. The scenario I proposed would be the most talked about incident in WWE history. It has the potential to surpass the screwjob, Hogan's heel turn and Foley's cell match and enter into pop-culture in a significant way. |
