The at-bats could also be an issue, because if Sisler was sat more or vice versa, people would be saying "Well if he played all the games...blah blah blah." I say we just leave the * issue and wait for the # to roll around.

I'd love to see someone prove, besides "what they've heard" about Ichiro bunting with runners in scoring postition. I watch almost every Mariner game available and I've never seen him do that.

I've never seen him bunt for a base hit. I've seen him try to get swinging bunts plenty of times, and striking out on curveballs that are low and away a lot of the time. If a pitcher wants to strike him out, throw three curveballs low and away and he will swing at them every time.
