I am starting to get a bad vibe from these things, I mean the ratings are so clearly skewed. There is no universal truth to any of it, fact of that is shown clearly by Hardcore Holly is ranked lower then the Gobbly Gooker. This entire thing is so subjective, and when you couple that with the fact that not the same people vote in every round, it makes for some discrepancies. Doink the Clown is higher ranked then John Cena... This is why ranking things on the internet with people is so hard, matches are even worse. Do you know how many times I see people claiming 5 Star matches...with no build up, just some matches on Velocity with Paul London gets a 5 star rating...ridulous. The fact remains that Ken Shamrock's impact on this sport is at about a 6 out of 10. Did he make it to the WWF? Yes. Did he win some titles? Yes. Did he have a few good matches (though to my memory not a single 5 star match)? Yes. Could he be replaced by most any Tom, Joe or Merry wrestler? In my eyes yes. And like it or not, Kevin Nash was a draw. Case closed. |

And while we're on the topic of poeple saying "Yeah, I remember him", Tully Blanchard is in a 3 way tie for the number one spot...most people here I bet have never seen him wrestle a full match, does that mean he is undeserving of being so highly thought of? And let's run up and down the street and see how many people know Hardcore Holly (Our last place guy) and Ken Shamrock, I am willing to bet that Hardcore Holly out-does Ken...people's knowledge of their skills is only one aspect, mic work is another, also take into acount personal flavor, and natural charisma...on all of these things I view Ken Shamrock as a 6...so that is where the number comes from...I can only vote how I see him, and he is uninspiring...Ron Waterman actually has given me good matches (again in my eyes, so I vote from that perspective). |

I agree with you with Hayabusa. I wasn't here to rank him and I wouldn't of ranked him so high. He had wrestling skills, that's it. I don't know why Waterman never made it, ask Vince, JR, or whomever calls up talent. And with Tully, yeah some of this may be "Well other people are rating him high, so I'll rate him high," but I don't know for sure. And some of this is biased, like with Holly. But there's just no way Shamrock is below average, cause in my book a 60 is failing. |

Well Loosey, you have nothing to worry about because with mine and KingofOldSchool's rank of 6, he is still pulling in soem very high numbers and I am sure will end up in the 80s...so in the end, we all win since I got my point out there, and you get to have Ken Shamrock be a well above failing score.
