Darkness, Take My Hand
Sacred
Gone, Baby Gone
Prayers for Rain

Shutter Island is another quality book of his. John Connolly is another author I recommend, he's got a series of books too, starting with Every Dead Thing.

I agree with El Fregadero; Rainbow Six would rule as a movie, as long as they don't screw with it like they did with the Sum of All Fears.

Hmmm....since the Guide is finally being made into a movie, I can't really think of too many other books

I'd kinda like to see Johnny the Homicidal Maniac get turned into an animated series (run it on HBO like they did with Spawn)

I wouldn't mind that. Shadows was pretty major, even if the actual novel was written like it was done by a 4th grader (Disturbing, considering the amount of sexuality in the book). The broad base of the whole media package was pretty cool. I even have "Inside Shadows of the Empire," Which does a behind the scenes look at the games, book, comic, toys, etc.

I've even done gaming in the Shadows era. It's a huge ambiguous area where the lead characters of Star Wars aren't doing much.

Other problem--Recasting. It would be a bitch to find people to play these established roles well.
