Like I said, if I was in that locker room I'd want to see Brock pay his dues. But Vince might see it another way - he's obviously going to want what is best for business. After all, a bit of backstage hostility towards Brock (for going straight back into the main event picture) is a small price to pay for making Smackdown strong again.

Vince's opinions might be a bit more difficult to predict. He must feel let down by Brock and perhaps even some anamosity towards him, but we all know Vince would do just about anything to be successful. I'm sure taking an ego hit in order to revive Smackdown by brining by Lesnar would not be too much to ask.
ok

It's still absolutely pointless to have him be in the mid-card.

No I really think Brock should be jobbing to Danny Basham...because that would be awesome for business.

Well, let's be real. Vince does not always do what's 'best for business.'

Just look at the entire Invasion angle and the way he went out of his way to bury any former WCW stars (and turned the whole thing into another chapter of Mcmahon Family Feud) when he could've treated them like legitimate threats and made huge money.

So it wouldn't be entirely surprising to see Brock come back and spend months getting jobbed to everyone in the locker room as a way to teach him a lesson.

Stupid. But not surprising.

I know where you're coming from, but if you're a member of that lockerroom, what are you going to do? Quit? Risk your ass against Lesnar in a fight?

Sure you may be pissed off, but I doubt that will cause a lockerroom revolution, especially with the WWE's "main eventers are all that matter" policy.

Lesnar really should be in the main event scene if he returned. It makes no sense for him not to be. The guy has already lost a lot since his debut in the WWE. He lost at WrestleMania, which means he has no hope of being undefeated at WrestleMania. He may have won the WWE Championship three-times, but he's also lost it thrice as well. He lost it once to The Big Show, who has been a generic face since then, once to Angle, who had been replaced as top heel by JBL, and he's lost it once to Eddie Guerrero, who's been putting over Rey Mysterio at every turn in the last few months. His record as youngest ever World Champion has been overwritten by Randy Orton, although he is still the youngest ever WWE Champion.

Brock Lesnar has already "paid his dues", and if he comes back there is no doubt in my mind he should main event. Maybe have him lose to Chris Benoit or Shawn Michaels in his PPV re-debut, as a way to "re-initiate" him, but then let him be Brock Lesnar.

A main-eventer that was shoved down our throats way too quickly. This was probably one of the main reasons, Brock was burned out and left WWE among others. He doesn't have to job out to the likes of, I dunno, Doug Basham, but I wouldn't shove him directly in the title picture, but near it, at first. For example, if he goes to SmackDown, he should have a feud with Matt Morgan, if, for anything, using the F-5 in his absence. Then he can go on to JBL, or whoever's up there with the belt. But if you throw him right at the belt, or the top guy, it could be a case of Scott Steiner all over again.

Exactly. Keep him in or around the main event scene, but don't have him return and win the Championship right off the bat.

I think also that Brock get cocky, thought he was bigger than the company and walked out. He gave his notice right before Wrestlemania 20 and basically shat on the program with Goldberg which the writers had spent months building up.

Now, Vince doesn't like being shat on especially by his own prodiges. So he wasn't very happy with Brock especially when he contested the no compete clause in the release he signed. Even though Brock agreed to the clause and signed, he showed up at a few events in Japan (i'm not really up to scratch with my Japanese wrestling knowledge, so i won't pretend to know when and where this was). Naturally, this led to legal battles and ranglings, with Brock suing the WWE for taking away his livelihood (only because he failed miserably to make a living in the NFL and was too arrogant to try the CFL and European league) and Vince suing Brock back. In other words, Brock spat his dummy out and now Vince has him by the balls.
Why thank you, kind sir.

Ive always thought paying your dues is stupid concept in wrestling.

Make money, thats all you should worry about. Screw the other petty shit.

Anyway, if they really want to "punish" Lesnar, do it after you make the money.

Build back Lesnar as unstoppable, maybe even play off the NFL stuff by having him say he's above everyone in wrestling, he's a real athlete, but still have him dominate.

Do that for 4-6 months, and then build up a program with either Cena or Batista and count the money as it rolls in. Of course have Cena or Batista win, and then, if they really want to punish Lesnar have him do a bunch of JOBs.
