I think the raptors will be the worst team in the NBA this year. However I like that they r rebuliding and Bosh is turning into a superstar.

The ONLY prediction I will make this year is this:
Stephon Marbury will NOT figure in the playoffs. It's the one sure thing you can count on in the NBA. |

If the Knicks don't go making trades for Darius Miles they should be a playoff team I'd think.

Stephon Marbury needs a coach that can tame him. If Larry Brown can tame Stephon. Knicks will make the playoffs and be a future contender. Marbury has a load of talent and i'm not talking about Joe Smith , Michael Olawakandi loads of talent. I'm talking about Isaih Thomas, Allen Iverson loads of talent.

Marbury is a notch or two below Isiah Thomas, but you gotta remember that Isiah was surrounded by players like Joe Dumars and a pre-freak-out Dennis Rodman. Maybe if Marbury got that kind of talent around him he could win a championship, but I think the last couple of years have shown you need more than one star to win a championship. |

The thing about Marbury is that he is selfish. He left Minnesota because he didn't want to share the stage with Kevin Garnett and Tom Gugiliata. If Brown can make him into a smart passing point guard, which is his specialty, then the Knicks do have a chance at being pretty good. All of their moves are starting to work out now, with a couple good shooters on the sides and Eddy Curry now down low. They may make the playoffs.

If Larry Brown can make the Clippers win, he can make the Knicks win. If Brown can turn Marbury from selfish to a team player like the style of Billups, it would benefit the Knicks greatly.

Yeah Marbury's problem is his selfishness. The team he couldn't do shit with in NJ went to the finals with J.Kidd (a real point guard, pass first shoot second).
He and Brown won't see eye to eye. Brown and Iverson never did, how the hell will he and Marbury? They're very similar players. |

I am interested to see how Phil Jackson does in his first major coaching test in the NBA.

Yeah really who else but the Spurs? Detroit but can they w/o Brown? Miami will prolly clash, PHX won't have the weapons they had last year. I am projecting Spurs over Pacers in 6 in the finals.
